Blood River Outspan Lodge offers four traditionally decorated bedrooms sleeping 12 guests in total. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom.
We have a fully licenced restaurant on the premises which serves breakfast, lunch and dinners on request. Our Smouswa shop sells souvenirs, postcards, books, videos, DVDs, home produce and refreshments. We also have a hall for functions and weddings, accommodating up to 500 people.

This place is fantastic for people genuinely interested in the history of the place and the area and the battles fought in the area. Definitely going back"

12 March 2016"Another good stay at Blood River, this time we brought 2 friends from England with. We love the atmosphere of this historic site. The accommodation is lovely, with character, and clean. Dons & Eureka make you welcome and are very helpful. They bring the history of this place alive with their enthusiastic knowledge of the battlefield. We will be back!"

10 October 2012"The service was friendly and professional, the food was excellent and the information given by Dons Grobler about the history of Blood River was insitefull. The only negative comment is that they must PLEASE replace the bed matresses for it was verry uncomfortable."
