At Amazulu Luxury Guesthouse, we like to offer our guests the best in luxury accommodation and relaxation in our individually themed rooms, or Presidential Suite. We are a short hop away from beaches and central town, Durbans new and old stadiums and their gyms. For a family outing, we are next to the Bird Park and for those so inclined, we are also close to a golf course.

Should you find yourself heading into town on business, we are perfectly situated for easy access to Durbans ICC and Exhibition Centre. If it is shopping youre after, then we have you covered; Amazulu is within easy reach of Springfield Park and all it has to offer, Gateway, and the town centre. We are a 10-minute drive from most points of interest.

All of the accommodation at Amazulu Luxury Guesthouse is fitted with good quality self-catering equipment such as fridges to keep your drinks and milk cold, microwaves to warm up leftovers from your braai the evening before, and cutlery and crockery to serve it all in. For the days when our Durban weather is not playing ball, we also have ovens and grills. For coffee and tea drinkers we provide kettles too. If cooking whilst on holiday is not your thing, we have a range of menus from local eateries and the local delivery service will bring your dinner to the door.

Our beds are top quality and comfortable and are fitted with best quality linen, while bathrooms feature soft towels for bathing or showering.

Our pool sparkles all year round and is inviting, as is our Jacuzzi. We also have an outdoor braai area for those balmy summer evenings.

    "Waited 45 minutes to gain access. No cold water in hand basin and it leaked continuously. Shower poor quality. Very limited TV programs available. Nobody collected key on departure. I would like to compliment Safari on arranging alternative accommodation should it have been required.<br></br> <b>Establishment's response</b><br></br> <i>We have noted with regret the negetive review from the Roland family and would like to respond to the complaints.<br></br> Firstly our sincerest apologies for any inconvinience the guest was subjected to . I had notified the guest that the caretaker is not always on site and also resides a street away from the guesthouse. I had been out of the office and had diverted the landline to my mobile. Unfortunately my battery went flat on my mobile and could not recieve calls. <br></br> I got and email from you office via my tablet that the guests were stranded and took immediate action. I called the guest and apologised as well as your office. <br></br> When the caretaker arrived to welcome the guest he further apologised and apologies were accepted. We humbly apologies that the guest did not cold water in the hand basin. The guest had my mobile and landline numbers to notify us that the hand basin did not have cold water. That would have been attended to immediately . Someone had shut off the stopper below the sink. All that was needed was to turn it on. The sink was dripping a drop at a time ,this has since been attended to.<br></br> The shower is off good quality and in good working order. I suppose that this is a matter of choice and cannot comment if this particular guest does not like it. We are open to suggestions and constructive critism.<br></br> The guest sent me an sms late saturday night informing me that they would be leaving at 7.30 am on the sunday. I responded via sms that we would be there to collect the keys in the morning. The caretaker was there for the check out at 7.20 am only to find the place locked and guest gone. I then got an sms informing me that the keys had been left with the neighbour next door. <br></br> We are providing 50 + channels on TV which is the compact package. This is more than what most guest houses provide. Even though we are open to suugestions should the guest feel we are not providing enough channels.<br></br> I have no problem recieving complaints but when they are posted for review without us being informed at the guesthouse prior ,it poses a big question as to why we are not told onsite . Trust this clears the air and answers the complains raised by our valued guest.</i>"
