  "Goeie dag.<div>Net terugvoering ivm. ons bespreking by Edenburg Guesthouse.</div><div>Eerstens het ek twee verskillende kwotasies gekry een van R1050 en een van R800 waarvan ek R400 deposito betaal het en die bedrag was outomaties afgetrek van my kredietkaart dus het ek nie die deposito se bedrag bepaal nie.</div><div>Met ons aankoms by die gastehuis was daar geen toegang tot die perseel nie en moes ek bel en nog na 8 ure op die pad buite wag.</div><div>Baie vriendelike diens en heerlike kos was n troos, maar verder niks positief te se oor die gaste huis nie. Water is n probleem, geen warm water in die stort gehad nie, vuil skottelgoed in die kamer, vloere is vuil, storte is gehawend en nie in volle werkende toestand nie, deure het nie sleutels nie, geen kaartfasiliteite nie en geen bewys van betaling gegee nie.</div><div>Volgens eienaar is sy tarief per kamer per nag R350 waarom moes ek die bedrag van R1050 vir 2 kamers betaal? En natuurlik ook die duurder tarief van die twee verskillende kwotasies.</div><div>Sal geen aanbeveling gee vir die gastehuis nie. Dit is vuil en slordig!   "This place is terrible don't go there. It is just a dirty old house. The pictures are not true. There is nothing to eat and no shops to buy food. There is a bar in the back with a pool table where everyone comes to get drunk all night and then use the rooms to sleep in. There were no cupboards in our room and the plugs don't work. The people in the town warned us and we left after one night. It is a disgrace and not for decent people."

  "the room we booked, was not available (due to "plumbing problems")-the beds there were not made up..;we got a larger room with 4 beds, which we shared with a nice large frog.. The plug for the water kettle shorted, and I almost burned my hand.The shower had warm water for about 1 minute, after which the water became lukewarm /cold.The paint on the walls in the whole house is peeling off. The place looked as if it was abandoned suddenly..we were not impressed! Drs. D. Moraal"

  "The facility was clean and tidy and we slept comfortably. The food (supper and breakfast) was good. All-in-all, nothing outstanding but quite adequate. Suggestions: Please provide milk for the morning coffee in the room (we happened to have our own). Consider a better quality coffee. Provide something to drink with breakfast or indicate to guests that they should make their own coffee and bring it to breakfast, although a small glass of fruit juice would be excellent. A slightly more professional touch would certainly elevate this facility to full marks."

  "During our stay at Edenburg guesthouse we got the best service and wonderful food, Nicos steak was grilled to perfection. The next morning after a hearty breakfast we felt refreshed and ready for the next leg of our journey. The guesthouse has everything you will ever need - friendly people, warm beds, great food and a lovely experience that will never be forgotten. Thank you guys!"

  "I was very happy at the Edenburg Guest House. Betsy de Kramer was most accommodating, especially as I was delayed and left Cape Town a day late. She agreed to change my booking accordingly at no extra charge. She prepared a most enjoyable steak, 2veg and salad dinner for me. My only complaint is that the water in the shower was only just hot enough for a cold winter's Free State morning!"

  "My primary memory of Edenberg is a puffy, cuddly, crisp white duvet and a cosy pillow - perfect! We needed accommodation south of Bloemfontein for a late-night arrival and early morning departure. Despite it being very late we were warmly greeted. We slept well and departed after some welcome coffee. Thank you for the generous hospitality and well done for creating a little oasis!"

  "We were treated like family - fetched from the main road when we couldn't find the house which was only one block down! Given a room without a few steps because one of us had a little limp. Help to carry in our bags. Introduced to the rest of the family. Given freedom to use all the lovely outdoor facilities. The most comfortable bed and well-appointed en-suite room one can wish for. Directions given to avoid roadworks at the crack of dawn, and warm greetings to send us on our way. All this at a most reasonable rate - you have to love it!"
