  • "Encounter with the elephants as close as they can get on sunday morning."

    01 May 2017

"We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Food, lodging, drives were all OK. Good value for our money. Just one remark: we were a group of six (elderly couple, children and grandchildren, celebrating the x th anniversary of ...), when we joined for dinner we discovered that our group was split because there was free seating for everyone at one table. Thula Thula should not let this happen. They should make sure that groups sit together by f.i. designated seating. The personnel reacted well to this by asking other guest to relocate, but it was a bit embarrassing."

  • "A change that was well worth trying."

    26 April 2007

"We normally finish our SA visits with a visit to the Kruger area. Visiting Thula Thula saved a lot of extra travel and I can honestly say that it compared very favourably. The staff and accomodation were splendid and the rangers exceeded all expectations. Unlike the Kruger, there are other activities in the area during the day out of the camp and the massage is a must! The highlight has to be the elephant herd, their history and the stories of their establishment. I think Thula Thula is still developing - buffalo due to arrive next month and the introduction of the tented camp. One disappointment - the elephant have killed some rhino - but that proves it's still wild Africa."
