  "I know from previous experience that this review will not appear on your site but I feel the owners should be aware of our opinion rather than me resorting to Trip Advisor where my review would likely result in adverse reactions towards the establishment. The room was dated, with peeling paint. the bathroom was in even more need of some TLC. A hand held shower is not, in my opinion, acceptable in this day and age and most travellers would probably prefer a shower cubicle rather than what is currently provided. Breakfast was very poor, as much in service as in quality. The buffet was sparse but what was more disappointing was the one piece of warm bread masquearding as toast that was served up and the tea served with a tea bag in a cup. There was no offer of additional toast or tea, something I cannot recall happening before anywhere in SA. There was a generally somwhat aloof atttitude from staff and we did not feel particularly welcome during our stay. All in all a very disappointing visit.<br></br> <b>Establishment's response</b><br></br> <i>Dear Mr Graham<br></br> Please accept my apologies for the bad experience you had at Peter's Guesthouse.<br></br> The paint in the room is being fixed and should have been attended to before accommodating guests in it. As for the hand shower - it is not intended to replace a shower but merely for washing hair or rinsing down. It is a pity you didn't communicate your preference for a shower to us as we have rooms with showers and we would have gladly put you up in one of these.<br></br> Concerning the breakfast: Our staff is well trained and poor service is not tolerated. I can assure you they will all be on the red carpet today! We have a certain standard for our breakfast and it is definitely not the standard you experienced.<br></br> We seldom go away and are usually around and tend to our guest's needs ourselves. I'm sure if we had been home you would have gone away with fond memories of your stay with us.<br></br> Thanks for drawing our attention to the matter. It is not nice to hear but I appreciate your honesty as it helps us to improve our service.<br></br> Should you ever visit South Africa again, I would like to offer you 2 nights free accommodation in a room of your choice so that you can have the real Peter's Guesthouse experience.<br></br> I once again apologise for everything and would like to wish you a prosperous 2013!<br></br> Kind regards Sarieta Kuhn</i>"

Ons het 2 nagte daar oornag en ons sal indien ons ooit weer na Pretoria moet gaan daar oornag. Baie dankie vir jou dit was die maklikste bespreking ooit en ons sal weer van julle gebruik maak. Ek hoop jy kan Afrikaans lees want ek kan my beter daarin in uitdruk."
