"At Slievyre we woke refreshed by the peaceful surroundings and couldnt wait to see what animals had come to visit each morning. The thatched chalets are cool on hot days and cosy on colder evenings. The lapa was a gesellig place to cook and eat and chat round the fire. On the game drive and our self drives we were treated to sightings of baby giraffe, crocodiles, blue cranes and ostriches who tried to race us to the road"
"Really enjoyed our stay. Our cottage was very neat and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very nice place to just relax and enjoy nature. Would definitely go back."
"The farm allows hunting during the season, but only to keep the numbers of the game down."
"We loved this place and We had a very relaxing time away in the zebra cottage with our kids. The cottage is so lovely and has everything you need and so great having the pool right in front. We saw lots of giraffe which our daughter enjoyed. It was the perfect place for us, our toddler and baby. The only down side is the quality of the bath and shower water but they do provide you with water for drinking and cooking but overall we absolutely loved it. Perfect place to get away from it all. Our daughter loved the animals coming up the fence."
"We really appreciated the away from it all feel, the generous pile of complimentary firewood, bottled borehole water and views onto the Midlands bush veld. Ample bedroom space, sensible linen and firm mattresses. Our unit had a Wonderful spacious lounge well equipped homely kitchen AND our dishes were washeddaily."
"I loved the fire place and the spacious chalet. Maybe the lighting could improve and a television at least for the cold nights. But other than that, pretty awesome getaway..."
"The weekend away was absolutely wonderful! The surroundings and wild life surprised us every day! This is the kind of place where you just want to get lost for a few days!"
"The support and help supplied by your staff are a credit to your business. We enjoyed the stay immensely and intend going back. The only negative I have is the maps could be a little better as we were not sure where we were / were not allowed to go. This however allowed us to have drive adventures, so was not a problem at all. A bush camp for caravaners would be nice.away from everybody with just camping space for one or two vans with toilets. The rest we can handle.Wonderful and affordable. Cheers,."
"We had an absolutely great time at Slievyre Game farm. Richard, Emma, Sarah and Harry couldn't have been more helpful, although we were surprised to find out that although we had booked Zebra cottage with yourselves at SafariNow on 2/10/2016, it wasn't available for us when we arrived. So we were put into other rooms."
"What an amazing trip we had at the farm. It was just my husband and I. We loved the peaceful view of the game farm and enjoyed relaxing outside by the pool. They took us on a game drive which we loved. What wonderful people and we definitely going back again soon. We also enjoyed seeing all the animals."

"Nice setting, lovely villa near the pool. Fully equipped kitchen. No wifi, no TV, that is how it is in the bush!"
"Such a relaxing and peaceful place so close to town. Makes for many weekends in the future."
"Pleasant experience, we've enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay over again when we go in that direction. Peaceful and very comfortable. Thank you Sarah and staff."
"We overnighted in one of the lovely chalets on the farm. We arrived late when it was dark, but Sarah left lights on for us and we felt very welcome. Everything was clean and the room very spacious. We woke up the next morning and was stunned by the most beautiful green surroundings. I wished then that we could stay longer and just relax there on this magnificent farm. Well done to Sarah and all the staff."

"This place is such a little hidden gem, I'm surprised more people don't visit. I was a little unprepared for the road with my low profile tyres, but the stay was fantastic. My boys loved it and we will be back most definitely."
"We had a great stay in the big chalet annex lapa with fully equiped kitchen. The complementary game drive was breath taking. Hendry and Sheila are so hospitable and cordial, they realy make you feel at home!"

"It was amazing. The hospitality was surperb. We felt so at home and would really like to thank Sarah and Harry for making us feel so welcome."
"My husband and I with our 23-month old boy, spent the night on the way down to Umhlanga. We were welcomed warmly by Sarah and the facilities were clean with all that we needed. The highlight was having access to the excellent, large boma that ensured we had a brilliant braai while a storm tried to rage around us. I would stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone. The play area was perfect for my son to run around and be entertained after a very long time in the car."
