Ficksburg Country Cottage

AA Recommended and BBEE compliant B and B Homestay: Five rooms. Haven of serenity, guests are assured of outstanding hospitality and personal service. Comfortable en-suite rooms and secure parking. There are three private rooms away from the house. We also have a swimming pool and braai facilities available. Delicious breakfast and cuisine served in the dining room. Dinner on request. We are situated in town and the Golf course, gym and several restaurants are within 2 km distance.

A closed 8 x 6 meter Self-Catering Lapa can be rented out at R200.00 for the unit. The Lapa contains a thatched roof, sandstone brick, built-in braai area, dishwashing basin, microwave, braai pan, and refrigerator. Cutlery and crockery are provided.

Ficksburg borders Lesotho and a trip to the Katse Dam is a must. The scenery is undescribable. (The road is in good condition, suitable for any vehicle. Passports are required. 150km, but 3hour drive there and 3hour drive back with dam-wall tour of 1 hour. pass all the way.)

The Cherry Festival is in November, book long in advance to avoid disappointment. Your friendly hosts are Susan and C.M. Kotze.

"The TV in Room 2 is the old small Box Screen. The Showerhead is old fashion and not water saving friendly. But the beds and B/fast made up for this. Thanks."

"I had such a warm welcome on my arrival and felt immediately at home, the owner where friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was out of the books, was served nice and hot! "Our stay was really wonderful. We got there earlier than arranged and that was no problem for our hostess Susan. We were very tired after our long journey and it was wonderfully peaceful so we could rest before the wedding we came to Ficksburg to attend. We wanted to leave very early the next morning and at 7 o'clock breakfast was ready and we could leave at 8. Thank you very much Susan."
