"I really enjoyed my two night stay, the room has under floor heating which even though it was not that cold made it really homely, the bed was ultra clean and comfy and the room a perfect size for what I needed."

  • "Small town magic"

    23 March 2010

"We spent two days and one night at the lovely Sandstone Chameleon B&B in Fouriesburg and what a joy it was. With beautiful and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff and perfect organization, it was an absolute pleasure. <br/><br/>Fouriesburg is very small (some roads are dirt roads) but the tranquillity of the town, breathtaking natural scenery, together with the Chameleon, made it the perfect weekend getaway. It is also very close to Clarens and the stunning Golden Gate National Park.<br/>I can highly recommend it. <br/>"

  • "Very comfortable"

    31 December 2009

"We decided to travel on our motorbikes and I am glad to say that it is a bike friendly place. Enough secure parking. I forgot my very expensive sunglasses on my bike and it was promptly returned to me before I even realised that I left it on my bike. That was great! The room was very comfortable and well stocked. The bed was good and nice crisp clean linen and towels. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great. Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely visit Sandstone again."

  • "Magic stay"

    23 November 2009

"Even though the weather did not play the game for the weekend we had the opportunity to view the area quit extensively and enjoyed the Cherry Festival in the process. The stay at Sandstone was magic with good company, with the meals offered being of a high standard. The rooms had everything needed and were well presented. The staff were very friendly and made every effort to make your stay a memorable one. In what we saw we will be returning to the area for a more extensive visit time allowing. We will be advising our friends of the experience and will be recommending that they stay at Sandstone during their visit. The Free State has more to offer than one thinks."
