"We really enjoyed this opportunity to relax in our private suite while experiencing personal contact and interaction with our gracious hosts. Especially enjoyed the walks to the Caledon River. What a lovely weekend!"
"It was a huge disappointment and it didn't look like anything on the pictures. We know it is winter(the review has nothing to do with the gardens) but I feel we were mislead by what we discovered in the chalet and room, Guinea Fowl and Sun Room. Good for an overnight stay but definitely NOT for a long weekend. Guinea Fowl is NOT a separate bedroom with bathroom-en-suite..it is ONE room with a King size bed, kitchen and living room all in one with a separate bathroom...no table inside to sit and eat by, no place to hang or unpack your clothes...not our cup of tea...will not be back."
"We enjoyed staying in the newly renovated unit with all the basic comforts for a restful stay"
"We enjoy the comfortable stay and well managed guest farm.Thank goodness for no tv! The sheltered place to braai on the stoep was a bonus as well as the prompt hot water in the taps! Thanks Bob, we enjoyed your place with all the well kept roads and paths to ride and walk on."
"A very enjoyable camping experience. Beautiful surroundings."
"Shumba Guest farm was a delight. The Camping ground clean and the views magnificent. Ablution facilities for the ladies extremely clean<br/>Would definitely go back. A very big plus for happy campers is that the farm is pet friendly. Also have a few self catering cottages for those that do not wish to camp."
"<p>The ideal getaway escape to a tranquil, beautiful, quiet farm. </p><p>Close enough for exploring the vicinity, yet far enough to indulge in a peaceful landscape.</p><p>Thank you very much Bob, for ensuring our stay is exactly what we needed.</p><p></p><p></p>"
"It was great to stay there. We could hear the horses every now and then, and it was so peaceful and quite. Bob is also very helpful and catered for all our needs. We will recommend then every time."
"My friends and I recently camped at Shumba Valley Guest Farm. The views were the most incredible I've seen from a campsite - the photos don't do this justice at all! - and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely bathroom facilities also made the stay very comfortable. Will definitely recommend to others!<br />Thank you!<br />"
"lOVELY! Those who enjoy stunning views, sunrise, sunsets, horses and have Clarens and golden gate closeby and clean, most enjoyable self catering cottages...will enjoy! Thank You!"
"The area had very good rainfall during the week before we arrived, and the surroundings were beautiful. We had such a good time on our mountainbikes, riding the trails on the Shumba farm and on the neighboring farms. The hosts are wonderful people, they can expect us back soon."
"Rob was a great host and went out of his way to accommodate us. Highly recommended"
