2 Paris Crescent

2 Paris Crescent offers superb luxury accommodation, without compromising on simplicity and charm. The self-catering cottage lies nestled below the Franschhoek Pass, within walking distance from the quaint little village centre.

The unit comfortably sleeps up to five people in two main bedrooms and a smaller half bedroom. There is also an extra bedroom with a bunk bed for two people if needs be, allowing for a total of seven guests. The living area leads out onto a covered verandah with comfortable furniture and a small plunge pool with Jacuzzi jets. There are wonderful mountain views from the verandah, and safe off-street parking is also provided.

In the area you'll find some of the best restaurants in South Africa, some rated top in the world. The Franschhoek wine farms are in a class on their own, and are easily accessed from the cottage. Take a trip down-town for some boutique shopping, or simply take in the amazing, fresh countryside.

"My wife and I recently stayed at this property for a month and can guarantee it is not a superb luxury accommodation at best it should be advertised as budget accommodation . Unlike the photos on the website the only view that we were confronted with was a 5 metre high scruffy hedge after complaining to Bridget the hedge was cut back within the week.<br/>The accommodation is extremely scruffy and tired and in need of a major upgrade. The following is an indication of what to expect if you happen to rent this place.<br/>1. Front door with a glass pane which is cracked into several pieces.<br/>2.Very old kitchen with panels missing.<br/>3.Material wedged in window panels to stop them rattling.<br/>4.A television which must be 20 years old which is situated next to a log burner and subsequently has resulted in the side of the television melting and so exposing the inner workings, please be warned because in order to watch the television from different areas of the living room it has to be turned on a wooden type box which is on castors.<br/>5.The roof leeks when it rains and drips on to the stairs and the television.<br/>6.Childrens bedroom is accessed through downstairs toilet/bathroom.<br/>7. Only one fitted bedsheet for the upstairs bed.<br/>8.Electricity trips.<br/>etc,etc, etc.<br/>We were given a small discount after complaining.<br/>Bridget was keen on more than one occasion to mention we were the only people to complain for a long time ,unfortunately we fail to believe this and could not take the previous reviews with any seriousness."

  • "Great place!"

"Really enjoyed our stay here- beautiful mountain views and perfect location. Downstairs bathroom and a few amenities could do with an update, as well as aircon in the downstairs bedrooms but other than that it was perfect! Would recommend over and over. Franshhoek is a gorgeous town! <br />"

  • "Quaint Cottage"

    14 July 2014

"Stayed here for the weekend with 4 other friends, for the Bastille Festival. Nice location, exceptionally quiet, neat and comfortable. Fireplace was an added advantage as well as the Gas heaters. This cottage has everything you need and is suitable for sleepovers. What I did notice is this cottage is not suitable for chilling out indoors for extended periods of time. It has a small lounge area and if you are 5 or 7 people, there would be no space at all for everyone to sit in the lounge area. Its open plan so people can sit at the dining room table etc. But it would have been nice to have more place around the fire for comfortable seating. Else the place was great."

  • "Excellent Weekend at 2 Paris Crescent"

"We had a great stay at 2 Paris Crescent. The house is well equipped and perfectly situated. It's also bigger than it seemed from the pictures. We loved it."
