The Country House is a restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to 1890 offering 14 standard and luxury rooms in addition to the 12 opulent villas suites. All en-suite rooms offer features and facilities expected of a first class hotel including LED tvs, free wi-fi, espresso machines, aircon, etc. Almost all rooms lead out onto private balconies or private patio with magnificent views. The opulent Villa Suites are havens of style and luxury, each 100sqm in size with separate lounge, fireplace, dvd player, music throughout, two balconies, and more!

During summer, guests can laze at one of the two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, enjoy a massage, visit the boutique wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town of Franschhoek. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the village centre.

The award-winning in house Monneaux restaurant, has become known for its modern and tasteful cuisine. A-la-Carte lunches are served on the magnificent new fountain terrace whilst dinner is served in the understated, yet elegant, dining room or enclosed verandah.

"The accomodation at Franschoek Country House & Villas is impeccable with amazing and attentive staff.<br />The breakfast was also amazing with great variety etc.<br />The in-house Monneaux Restaurant, however cannot be recommended at all. Services was great but food was way below par. I cannot understand what the fuss is about, but I've eaten at the best restaurants in South Africa, and this is not one of them.<br />"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and character is very nice. It was a good base for us to explore Franschhoek for four days to celebrate my wife's birthday.Otherwise rooms very comfortable. Can recommend to other people and will come again."

"Great rooms, fine restaurant (although 'one of the best tables in South Africa' might be slightly exaggerated). The staff made our stay their very pleasant, the service level was exceptionally good. The garden villa rooms are very comfortable."

"Staff were very efficient (a bit too efficient in that the morning we were leaving the towels disappeared before we had checked out!)Pool area is very weak especially when there are children there as they commandeer the heated pool which is small. Breakfast was extremely good.Finally the hotel were really good with transport into Franschhoek."
