Nestled in a valley on the banks of the Berg River in the enchanting Franschhoek Valley, surrounded by vineyards and dramatic mountain views, lies Klein Waterval Riverside Lodge.
The lodge is just a short drive from Franschhoek, 20 minutes from Stellenbosch and Paarl, 50 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and Cape Town itself, and currently offers 8 luxurious and comfortable rooms, some of which are thatch. Four of the rooms face natural gardens alongside the pool and the rest are just below a small stream looking onto the farm's vineyards.
Klein Waterval's relaxed farm atmosphere provides an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding attractions and landmarks whilst offering much to do on the farm itself. Visit the Cape's most celebrated wine farms, historical villages, popular restaurants and scenic mountain passes. Swimming and merely relaxing around the pool area or alongside the riverlette after an exhilarating day, enjoying a glass of superb wine on the verandah and watching the sun set is what we often recommend to our guests.

16 April 2010"This is a really lovely, rustic hotel, with lovely views over the vines. If you want a quaint, comfortable, clean and friendly establishment this would be perfect. It is directly across from Bridge House school so if one was visiting the school it would be the ideal place to stay. We were attending a wedding at Rickety Bridge, so it was very convenient for that too. Ezna made us feel so welcome when we arrived and poured us a glass of their sauvignon blanc which we enjoyed on the patio. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful pool area which must be such a treat on a hot day. Sitting out on the patio next to the little brook is a lovely setting for the delicious breakfast. We felt the hotel was excellent value for money."

23 October 2006"We had a great time at KW. <br/><br/>The welcome was very good with a guided tour of all the facilities by the owner. <br/><br/>We enjoyed the pool and walked down to the river. <br/><br/>Breakfasts were delicious. <br/><br/>The room was good - very homely, and we appreciated the good advice of our host on the many good restaurants in the area. <br/><br/>Highly recommended!"
