Vlakplaats is a working sheep farm and also home to the Dorper stud. We offer you hospitality, privacy and a relaxing stay in peaceful surroundings. Spend quality time with your family or partner and let us worry about the rest.

There is a wide variety of bird-life that surround the dams and are in close proximity to the units. Resulting in plenty of space to go for long walks or do some bird-watching.

One of the best long distance soaring centers are only a few kilometers away and this includes the biggest fresh water aquarium in South Africa.

"Loved every moment of our stay. True South African hospitality! Our hosts made us feel completely at home and very welcome. Comfy beds, good linen, amazing food! And our best - swimming in the 'pool', a converted borehole! Not too far off the N1 but far enough to feel remote and hear nothing but birdsong and sheep! Good birding too."
