"We had a wonderful stay at Makulu Manzi and the star ratings is fully justified. The weather did not play its part but did not detract from a lovely home and beautiful environment, thank you John and Marilyn for being such good hosts. Four of us, all adults, stayed and we were all of the same opinion Makulu Manzi exceeded our expectations and mine is high. Nevertheless the fish got away but NEXT TIME watch out fishies. Regards Tom and Ilona."

The house itself is VERY well appointed with everything u may need for a brake in East London, including a dishwasher and a deep freezer! • "Worth it"

    10 September 2013

"Quite far out of East London but we enjoyed every minute of our stay there! We felt very welcomed and very relaxed. The sound of the lashing, dashing and splashing of the waves was the cherry on the cake! It put me to sleep and woke me in the morning. It was totally worth it to drive from Windhoek and we will definitely go there again!!!"

  • "Makulu Manzi"

    08 April 2013

"What a great Holiday destination, the unit is a stone throw away from the beach and really have everything that open and closes. The landlord is extremely helpful and even assisted us in parking our trailer, nothing is to much trouble for them, if I could give them stars it would be 5* plus. The unit is comfortable, clean and well furnished. What more can you ask for than a exquisite unite with the most spectacular view. We even saw dolphins on our last afternoon. I will definitely recommend this peace of heaven to everyone I know."

"Thanks very much for a wonderful stay. Even the whales and dolphins came to the party! Their antics kept us entranced for hours! A lovely restful holiday with just the right amount of sun. We have always loved the Eastern Cape and it was wonderful to return to Glengariff after 40 years and find it still relatively unspoilt. What a treat. Hopefully we will be back."

"A little piece of paradise, WOW! What an amazing place. Beautiful views and a home away from home. We had a relaxing time. The perfect setting, away from the rush of the city and beaches that are over-crowded. Saw dolphins every day! They greeted us in the morning and said good night in the evening. The biggest treat was the whale who paid us a visit and provided a show. We really enjoyed it here. Thanks for an awesome time!"
