Rest A Bit at Glentana

Rest a Bit/Rus n Bietjie is a lovely self-catering apartment located in Glentana, just 20 km south of George. The unit is situated on the lower level of the owners house, which is only used in season periods by the owner, as they stay in Bloemfontein. The unit enjoys lovely sea views.

The apartment features two bedrooms furnished with a double, 2 single beds, with all linen provided, towels included. The unit has three bathrooms; one with a bath, toilet and washbasin, the second with a shower and washbasin. The third is en-suite with the main bedroom, consisting of a toilet and basin.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, a microwave, fridge-freezer and tea and coffee facilities, and guests also have the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The washing machine and tumble dryer is located on the top floor and the key will be supplied.

We supply free uncapped Wi Fi.

The lounge is furnished with a sleeper couch, for an additional guest and is equipped with a TV with local SABC channels. Guests are welcome to bring own decoder for more channels.

The TV is a Flat screen in HD. Other features include a private barbecue area and a lock-up garage for guests staying at the apartment out of season. Please note that the rates displayed, except for December, are for two guests and additional adults will pay an additional R350 per person per day.

Children under 3 stay for free. Children between 3-17 stay for R300. The rates are subject to the change according to the seasons, hence we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs.

The beach is within a 200 m walk and is perfect for long walks.

Lifeguards are on duty in season, ensuring safe swimming beaches, and the nearest grocery store is situated in Groot Brak River just 10 km away. A few golf courses can be found nearby, such as the Kingswood at George, the nine-hole course at Groot Brak or the course at nearby Fancourt, which is regarded as one of the countrys premier golf resorts.

Glentana is also well situated for guests attending the KKNK at Outshoorn, which is within an hour's drive.

"Peace, tranquility & complete rest"

"If you want peace, tranquility, complete rest, & a room with a view, look no further than Rest-a-bit (Rus-'n-bietjie) in Glentana. The owners were very friendly. My feathered friends (5 budgies) & I had a comfortable stay in this two bedroom apartment that felt like a home away from home. It is situated in a quiet street in Glentana and I could really relax with the sounds of rolling waves and bird song - no blue flag beach noises of holiday makers and loud disco music for teenagers or the noise of traffic . It's truly a lovely quiet peaceful venue for those who want to get away from city life. The rooms were tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture in complimentary colours that created a feeling of calmness and space. The second bedroom was decorated in colours reflecting a sailor theme, perfect for children with three single beds & a bench, built in cubbard,etc. Of course, my budgie children slept in that room & I see that they loved it . The kitchen was fully equiped and with it's yellow painted walls it smiled upon me with sunshine & warmth with a big window overlooking the lovely garden. I love a yellow kitchen! The only thing that was a bit challenging was that one had to walk a long way from the garage with your luggage through the front garden of the main house downstairs to the apartment. It was raining when I had to load my car the day I left. I suggest that maybe guests might get a key for the door leading from the garage to the house so to be able to have a shorter distance to carry their luggage to the apartment. Other than that, my stay at Rest-a-bit was super cool. One could see the ocean from the bedroom window and go to sleep with the calming lullaby from rolling waves in the distance. The upstairs veranda had breathtaking views of the sea. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Heys for your hospitality and friendliness and a spotlessly clean & tidy apartment. I would definitely like to come & visit again in the future."

"In die eerste plek, die fotos op die website en dit wat ek gesien het, is twee verskillende dinge. Ons was twee gesinne, 4 groot mense en 1 kind. Die een kamer het n dubbel bed en die ander een 3 enkelbeddens. Dit was so ongemaklik, veral as mens gewoond is dat n man en vrou langs mekaar slaap en as dit nog n groot en Lang man daarby is. Die stort is n grap, regtig!!!!Jy kan skaars draai in hom so Klein is dit. Die ergste van alles was, die huis was VUIL, as ons iets wou gbruik moet ons dit eers was. Die spinnerakke en stof was Meer as gnoeg. Ek sal VERSEKER nie in my lewe iemand aanbeveel of weer self daar gaan slaap nie."

"Die huis was lekker groot en ruim. Al die kaste in die huis ruik egter na muf. Kon nie klere in die kaste sit nie,ens. Daar is n majien in die badkamer wat glo help vir die klammigheid, maar raas egter elke keer as die afgaan. Daar was nie n wasmajien en tuimeldroeer soos aangedui nie."
