The House in Lalaland

This is a spacious self-catering house situated just outside of Piketberg, with beautiful views over the valley.

The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-plan living area with comfortable couches, an entertainment area with a pool table and a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Me my husband and son live right next door. I have friendly dogs and they will probably visit you. We are 18 km up the mountain pass from Piketberg town.

There is a lovely patio area with braai facilities, ideal for summer evenings. Activities in the area include hiking trails, paragliding, mountain biking and rock climbing. There is no DSTV but there is WIFI. Although we live right next door, we don't mind music and noise, we just expect people to have respect for the house.

"The relaxation"

"We enjoyed the quietness and relaxation it gave us all. We had issues with the toilets not flushing properly and making a noise every time someone flushed, not sure if the septic tank had a blockage and is now been sorted. The other issue was the hot water for the shower, have to run the water for a while to get hot, once hot would only be hot for a short time, not sure if that has been sorted or was due to the solar.On-top of the fridges looked like they needed a clean and more bowls, spoons and teaspoons are needed as it does sleep 11 people and a movable bread board is required,otherwise the ladies enjoyed that it had a dishwasher.the table where people can sit and eat seat only catered for 8 people which was a little squash, the place of eating could cater for more people once again can cater for 11 people.Besides those issues the stay was lovely and was good to take a break from the city life."
