Aa'Qtansisi Guest House

This old Karoo home, circa 1856, has been created into a small 'boutique-type' accommodation. It is centrally situated in Graaff-Reinet, the Gem of the Karoo.

Our guest house, named Aa'Qtansisi, is derived from the authentic, original Khoisan language meaning 'we welcome you'. Dating back 350 000 years ago, the Khoisan were the first human inhabitants in Graaff-Reinet, and it has been speculated that Graaff-Reinet may well be the origin of mankind.

Be prepared to be spoiled and delighted with personal attention and unique creations of dcor. We are sure that Aa'Qtansisi will become your first choice of accommodation whenever you pass through Graaff-Reinet.

"Had a good stay here - the host Pierre was friendly and helpful and location is perfect. Tasty breakfast which well presented. Room had lovely big bed and all fine apart from a shower that trickled water"

"Often booking online pictures and review are better than reality - in this case my expectations were surpassed! What a lovely guesthouse and warm friendly staff. We stayed in the French Room - and loved it. A quick walk down to great little shops and resturant called "Polka" where we had yummy pizzas for dinner. I will definite recommend Aa'Qtansisi guest house for mid break between JHB and Plett/Knysna. Breakfast was delicious set in an antique styled dining room."

"We had a wonderful stay in Aa'Qtansisi, which we understand means "We welcome you" and indeed we were made to feel very welcome by Roger - great squash player! - and his staff. The rooms were perfect, the breakfast excellent and....a wonderful surprise was that our (really dirty!) car was washed to shine like new when we were ready to depart. Well done!!"
