Cypress Cottage
These two charming cottages date back to the 1800s and combine authentic Karoo style and ambience with every modern comfort. They are beautifully restored and furnished with antiques. The cottages face each other across the shady quiet of one of the most picturesque streets of the town.
Each cottage has its own private garden and all our beautiful rooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms, white linen, DStv and flowers from our lovely garden. Our rate includes a full Karoo breakfast which consists of cereals, yoghurt, fruits from the orchard, our own free-range eggs, bacon and sausage. We have swimming facilities in our borehole-fed dam and secure off-street parking.
We are right next to the nature reserve and nestled in the shadow of Spandaus Kop. An easy walk leads you right into the best of Karoo nature. The town centre is a quick 10-minute walk away, where we can organise dinners at any one of our variety of good restaurants. As the gem of the Karoo, our town warrants a two-night stopover.

Our hostess Hilary made us very welcome and suggested excellent restaurants for us to choose. Her staff were very friendlyand breakfast in the morning was excellent."

21 December 2013"We stayed over for one night but will definitely go back. Beautiful old cottage that is well appointed and managed. We went to see the Valley of Desolation on recommendation of the manager and it was well worth the trip. Well done on a lovely place keep it up!"
