  "When we arrived they said i still had outstanding monies and that the company didnt inform Mogodi that they received it. The dstv did not work and we had no hot water. At 23;30 i had to phone them ask them to sort the water out as it was reported at 17:00 already. Not happy at all!!!"

  "We had a situation where my boyfriend's mother was admitted in ICU on Friday the 6th but he was told only on the 7th ..cause we had extended our booking til the 9th on the 11 hour we went to the reception asking to check out on the 8th instated of the 9th and of we could be refunded for the one day as we had an emmigiency and all we got from the reception was that the manager was not around and they will update give us feed back the afternoon on the 7th .When we came back later in the afternoon we recieved the same answer and they promised to come later to our house but that never happened i mean we even suggested that money that I paid for the 9th be left in my safari account to use it later in the year when we go on vacation again but that was still not good enough ...can someone please let me if I can be assisted in anyway ..I wanted to still stay in that place but it was beyond our control ...My experience could have been wonderful but due to the fact that no one wanted to give us clear answer I am not happy with the overall service or the visit to this place"

  "We had a great stay, clean and comfortable chalet. It wil be useful if there was a shelve for shampoo and stuff in the shower though...The fireplace in the lounge should have been in the living room instead, in order to heat up a bigger area."

  "The receptionist was not friendly at all. Very hostile, insisting we settle our bill on arrival without us having seen the place and in spite of the standard procedure being settling one's bill when one checks out. Luckily we did not let her bad attitude deter us from enjoying our stay at the lodge but they could definitely be a little more friendly and welcoming to out of town guests."

  "Thanks for a very pleasant stay. Great Location. Close to all attractions. Unit is very spacious and neat. Thanks for helping us with a Camping cot and daybed in living room.Suggestions:- A wooden dinner table in the living area would be nice, instead of the plastic dinner table (would work very well outside at the braai - have so much space inside for a proper dinner table. - Maybe an oven, since it is self-catering.- Salad bowels.- The rest of the house's curtains are so beautiful, maybe upgrade the curtains in the living area? Otherwise - thank you very much, would definitely come and stay here again. Thanks"

  "Nice and close to all activities that the lowveld has to offer, Gods Window, Pot Holes, Blyde River Canyon, Sabie, Pilgrims Rest. Acommadation was comfortable, just a pity that on arrival we were not happy with the unit that had been booked, as it was a small batchelor pad type of unit. And when booking it was not explained how small it was for two people. Luckily there was a larger unit available. Staff are friendly."

Clean, neat, daily service (with fresh towels and cleaning of the braai!) with very friendly and helpful staff our stay was perfect. Although self-catering, the restaurant was was great too and reasonably priced with personal and attentive service. Overall, a lovely experience and value for money."

  "client services all around was good.However,in the unit itself,all the household appliances were not there,pots and bowlswith no lids,the coffee in the satches were rock hard,there was no rooibos tea supplied and no bar room service at all from the restaurant.My wife and daughter complained of no wi - fi at the lodge,where all the places we've been in and around south Africa have it,even the other lodges in Graskop have free wi - fi"

  "The unit itself is comfortable with good furnishings. Nice wooden cupboards and a firm but comfortable mattress.<br /><br />A few small things bothered us, like hosepipes left lying across our doorway and a braai hafway through the cleaning process left in front of our unit.<br /><br />Our unit also looked almost directly into the owner's garage, stealing some of the appeal.<br /><br />I did get the impression that we were more houseguests than people staying at a lodge. <br /><br />The town is very dead at night, with the exception of an excellent Portuguese restaurant "Canimambo" just a few blocks up.<br />"

  "Experienced the most relaxing time at Mogodi Lodge. Rooms were clean, well furnished and well maintained. The view is spectacular, a real piece of heaven. Water and lights would suddenly go off, but not for longer than 20 minutes. We were told that all the town (Graskop) experiences water pressure problems, and all the high areas are affected, this is understandable so it didn't bother us too much. <br /><br />Overall a relaxing time spent out of joburg and in nature. So close to all the tourist destinations such as God's Window and others. <br /><br />Management were friendly and helpful. <br /><br />Thank you Mogodi Lodge for a lovely weekend getaway! <br />"

  "We booked a room at Mogodi Lodge because it was one of the few places that would let you book for only one night - we were touring the area and did not want to stay in one place throughout. The rooms are a bit dated (let say 90's chic), but it has everything you need. The price includes breakfast which we thought to be excellent value for money, especially considering the delicious breakfast spread you get to choose from. The hosts are wonderful people, making you feel at home even if you are only there for a night. They were super accommodating, letting us check in early, and they didn't find us strange when we only ordered ice-cream and wine for dinner that evening. The location is great, just outside of Graskop, so within easy reach of all the local attractions. Will definitely stay again."

  "The actual chalet was quite nice, spacious & clean. However there was an acute shortage of hot water, and we were cold as there were no heaters.With their climate it is not acceptable to simply have a fireplace if they are not prepared to light in on a complimentary basis."

  "The scenery was great and tranquil. The rates are very good for family self catering stay. I'll surely come back for spring.However, please work on your furniture - make it a bit modern and homey comfortable. Get rid of the spiders webs and dust residue almost everywhere. Make sure you linen is fresh always. Be that as it may, I enjoyed my stay. And will come back."

  "Upon arrival we were greeted by a chalet that had not been cleaned from previous visitors. After a 5 hour trip this was not how we wanted to start our holiday. Even after the cleaning lady had left there was used condom wrappers in the main bedroom drawers. The music from the big swing was also very distracting and really was annoying. The facilites were ok, the surroundings beautiful."

  "Groe saubere Ferienwohnung mit ausreichend Platz fr 4 Erwachsene. 2 Bder vorhanden, aber leider ist nur in einem Badezimmer eine Toilette. Das zweiten Badezimmer ist mit Handwaschbecken und Badewanne ausgestattet, ohne Mglichkeit zu duschen. Letztendlich also nur ein nutzbares Bad. In der Ksche gibt es nicht wie sonst blich einen Minivorrat an Salz und Gewrzen, muss man alles selbst mitbringen.Lage ist gut, Betten ok, kann man guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen."

  "We had a comfortable cozy stay at Mogodi lodge. Four of us shared a chalet (2 per bedroom, although the one room had 2 single beds which was disappointing), and it was great having a shower and a bath facility, which is unusual in a 3 star place. The fireplace was perfect for winter, although the chalet can do with a few rugs on the floor to heat it up. The tiles are a little cold. All in all, the facilities are perfect as far as a 3 star establishment is concerned. I would definitely use Mogodi again and recommend it."
