This is a beautiful and rustic bushveld getaway for quads and microlight aeroplanes, situated on a farm adjoining the Elands River.
We offer a variety of accommodation options in a relaxed environment, all supplied with electric lights. There is a communal lapa situated next to the swimming pool, with ample braai facilities and Satelite TV for major sporting events.
Guests can plan and drive on various trips into the vast bushveld countryside, unspoiled by development. The camp also has a runway and hanger for weightshift microlights. Places to visit in the area is the Loskop Dam, Orabie Rhenosterkop and Rust de Winter Dam. There are numerous game farms and lodges in the area, as well as landing places within 30 minutes flying time.
There are unrestricted and very large quad-bike riding areas with hundreds of kilometres of roads. The farm lies adjacent to a vast area of land with open bushveld and small villages scattered in between.
"We booked for 2 days but left after one evening staying over ,the old man is rude and cocky as they come, the place is in shambles...the most dirty place I've ever stayed. They should not be allowed to host anyone. This place needs a total revamp.....what a horrible experience

Establishments response:

Their remarks are typical from one who has never been exposed to life in the bush.
If you come to a bush-camp and you pay bush-camp tariff you cannot expect hotel-like accommodation.
If you stop at a closed, but not locked, farm gate, you are supposed to climb out of your car and open the gate and close it again once you are through and not phone the owner on two different occasions to come and open the gate for you.!.
If you stay in a bush-camp and you have not paid, except for your deposit, you are supposed to pay the balance and not leave the camp without paying.
If some-one talk to you, you are not supposed to work on you cell phone while the person is talking to you.
Our places are kept clean and the linen is exchanged after every visit.

Regards,
The old man at Elands Bed and Bush."
"The first night we did not have any gas. The next day they switched off the fridge and all stuff in freezer defrost. No geyser for that price. R200 for extra person per night."
"I would like it if there was another notice board or direction board once we were on the gravel road."
"The road to the camp is dangerous as some place you cant seen other road users. The warning for water not for drinking must be put on. No quads was there the owner said it has been damaged. The people bring their own quads did not stick to camp rules for making dust will we were braaiing meat."
"What a pleasant stay. Be sure that we will visit the camp site again."
