  "Lovely couple and owners of Africlassic Guest house. The room itself could use a fresh coat of paint. No slight on the guest house or the owners at all, but when I arrived at 7pm, I enquired about places to eat in Harrismith. I was told about a pizz place next to a Spar. The food there was less than satisfactory. I explored the area only to be disappointed. Aside from the degradation which characterizes the town (potholes galore!), there was absolutely nowhere else to eat! A handful of eateries were closed. It was admittedly during covid, but at level 1 so places should have been open at that time. My advice to the owners is for them to maybe consider providing a small "help yourself" breakfast such as cereal, yogurt and fruit and a nice quality coffee. so that at least guests have SOMETHING, given the poor availability of food in the area."

  "It was rather basic, a bit pricey for its state. Our room was very spacious, and the back door lead to a beautiful garden. There must be some sort of general electricity switch for the kitchen, which kept me from boiling water. The base for the shower was broken so we had to hold it by ourselves. Just small details, that once taken care of would make it a very nice option to stay."

  "Congratulations to Lizet and William in making our stay truly memorable. Our hosts really made us feel at home and could not do enough for us to make our stay comfortable, whether it was finding a restaurant for Christmas lunch or checking for us the supermarket closing times! I would thoroughly recommend the Africlasic for its warmth and charm."

  "Spent a lovely night at Huize Sandwijk - just a stopover on the way to the coast. Makes a perfect rest stop, lovely surroundings and Martie was most welcoming. The room (Elephant) was nicely furnished and everything that we needed was provided. It was nice to let the kids have some fresh air and play on the jungle gym and swing after being cramped in the car for hours on end. No complaints, and we will certainly be back."
