Mahogany Hill Cottage

Mahogany Hill Cottage is a spacious, modern brick-built cottage boasting stunning views of the lush, picturesque Sabie Valley near Hazyview, Mpumalanga. The shaded cottage is situated on a citrus farm and offers an ideal base for touring the Lowveld, within a tranquil environment.

The cottage has two en-suite bedrooms designed for comfort; one furnished with an extra-length king-size bed and the other a double bed, both dressed with percale linen. French doors lead from the bedrooms onto the veranda. The bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans.

The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering, from the farm house kitchen to the gas barbecue on the veranda. The spacious lounge has a central fireplace that is linked to the kitchen, veranda, bedrooms and guest bathroom.

The views from the veranda are spectacular and on a clear day one can see as far as the well-known Long Tom Pass. The sunsets are breathtaking and may be enjoyed from the bedrooms, lounge and veranda. Full security is offered by means of an electric fence, external surround beams, and armed response. Access is controlled by a motorised gate.

It is a mere 15 km or so from the world famous Kruger National Park and three entrance gates are within easy reach namely Phabeni, Numbi and the Paul Kruger Gate. Nearby attractions include the Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window and Pilgrims Rest. The bird life in the lush Sabie Valley is abundant and one may be fortunate enough to see the shy and elusive Narina Trogon amongst other beautiful birds.

Activities in the area include horse riding, elephant interaction, open vehicle safaris, night drives, microlight flights, hot air balloon flights, river rafting, tree canopy trails, quad and dirt bike trails, and golf - to name just a few. We will gladly assist in booking these activities on your behalf.

There is much to offer the outdoor and fitness enthusiast such a trail running, mountain bike riding and hiking. A Park Run is held weekly on the neighboring Estate and there are a number of Mountain Bike Races held annually in the valley and neighboring towns.
