"Wonderful hosts. Will stay here again."
"We had a lovely stay at Kiaat Bungalows in the Combretum chalet for a long weekend- very well equipped, clean with nice touches like coffee, rusks, charcoal, firelighters, wood, etc which is very welcome when you have forgotten these. Well situated to the Phabeni gate (just a 15 minute drive), and whilst very close to main roads, etc it still managed to feel secure and away from the bustle. Beautiful gardens and abundant bird life."
"The host Irma, was very helpful an accommodating even after I informed her that I would probably arrive very late due to my work. The loft where I stayed was clean and comfortable, the only thing you have to keep in mind is that the ablutions are separate - but that is explained on both the web site and by your host. I would really recommend this accommodation to business travellers and would like to visit when I'm not in the vicinity for work. Thanks again!"
"Delightful people who went out of their way to accommodate a special request. Thank you. Well situated for the Kruger and surrounds. Lovely camp site with lots of space and the unit I stayed in was perfect for my needs."
"Sleep was ok but the room is noisy."
"Lovely, with an amazing exotic garden, swimming pool, sun bathing area and quiet away from main roads. This place was a pleasure to stay at. Lots of wild life outside the gates like a family of ducks & monkeys. Friendly owner who was more than helpful. I have already recommended to others should they go past."
"What a charming, relaxed and quiet venue. Owners were equally charming and provided us with everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sorry it was for only one night. Amazing bird life and gardens. Will definitely return again but next time for a long weekend."
"We had a very warm welcome and very comfortable stay. Rooms were serviced daily. Really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back."
"I loved the privacy and the chilled nature of Kiaat, Peggy is an awesome host and very welcoming, we will be going back one of these days."
"What a nice place to stay will certainly see me again."
"We stayed in the Combretum. The unit is very clean and comfortable. The unit also has an air conditioner for the warm nights. Will recommed the place to everyone who wants a small and clean base near Phabeni gate."
"Very comfortable accommodation, friendly hosts and good birding."
"Extremely friendly and hospitable hosts! We were looking to stay in the Kruger for a long weekend at the very last minute and found this lovely rondawel on a farm a mere 10 minutes outside Phabeni gate. The Kruger-like rondawel (actually better equipped) was exactly what we were looking for. We were spoilt with home baked rusks, fresh wood for our fire every evening and even a bag of freshly grown oranges as a departure gift. The rondawel was also serviced every day (dishes washed, etc.), which just made our stay that much more convenient. At night, we were delighted with beautiful bush sounds, which made it just that much more special. We went for a walk on the farm, through their orange orchard down to the Sabie river bank, where we were met with the sounds from their resident hippo, which we luckily could only hear and not see :-)All and all a perfect place, just a few minutes outside the Kruger!"
