De Hoek Country Lodge

De Hoek Country Lodge is situated 15 km from the historic town of Heidelberg in Gauteng on 385 hectares of land and provides you with the opportunity to find contentment within yourself, by experiencing the beautiful nature and scenic views. The farm is home to game which include Wildebeest, Zebra, Eland, Rooihartbeest, Blesbok, Springbok,Grey Reedbuck and other indigenous small game.

De Hoek is also excellent for bird watching as there are many bird species in the area. The secretary bird has been spotted on several occasions. De Hoek is conveniently located in close proximity to the N3 Durban highway which offers an easy commute to Johannesburg, hence it is ideal to use as a stop over with all the necessary conveniences.

We offer 9luxurious double rooms with en-suite bathrooms that were built utilizing the charming buildings and structures that were erected on the original farm. One double room has been designed to accommodate persons in a wheelchair. All rooms have a bar fridge and a kettle.

Conference facilities are available and we offer ourselves as a wedding or function venue.

"Our stay at De Hoek was quiet and relaxing, it is an ideal distance from JHB to access easily if you want to get out of the city. It is simple, but clean and sufficient. The food was very good value- particularly the cooked dinner which is served on a tray at your room - the dinner really was very good!"

"Our visit was very good. The dirt road is a bit poor but it's only 6 km and the reward at the end of the road is sweet, friendly and hospitable people who still care. The place is very cute and the wild animals in large herds are very close. Do not forget your camera.Ons het vreeslik lekker gebly. Die grondpad is bietjie sleg - maar dit is net vir 6 km en beloning aan die einde van die pad is lieflike vriendelike gasvrye mense wat nog omgee. Die plek is baie oulik en die wilde diere is in groot troppe en hulle is baie naby. Moenie jou kamera vergeet nie."
