Weltevrede Lion Farm

Weltevrede Lion Farm offers a breakaway to beautiful sunsets; star-filled skies and roaring lions. There is a 14-hectare dam on the game reserve where guests can see hartebeest, gemsbok, zebra, black wildebeest, blesbok, eland, bat-eared fox and springbok.

The farm Weltvrede belongs to Nico and Karen Roets who have a passion for wild animals. They developed this reserve and guests can join us on a guided tour to experience the majestic lion, wild dog and cheetah.

Accommodation consists of luxurious chalets and cottages. Self-catering is done in a beautiful lapa and small kitchenettes in each cottage. The farm consists of six self-catering chalets. Four units are close to the restaurant at the lion camp, or for a more private stay, you can choose our two chalets overlooking our dam in the game reserve.

Guests are invited to come and experience a truly South African atmosphere in our fully licensed restaurant and bar. Our menu is designed to suit everyone. We serve breakfasts, lunches and family dinners or quick in-between snacks. The restaurant is ideal for unforgettable weddings, functions and childrens parties. We can host a function for up to 150 guests with the best catering in the area.

"All went well. I would like to suggest though a presentation (talk / video) on the importance of conservation. Some documentaries for example state that there are in the world today, more statutes of lions than living lions. In the battle against canned hunting and export of lion bones, etc I believe you can contribute to the education of the public. On Youtube there are excellent videos available. We enjoyed our stay! "The staff was kind even though we arrived pretty late for check in. The place is tranquil and is recommended to anyone who is looking for a moment away from the busy buzzing life of the city. Waking up every morning to the sound of lions roaring was also quite something and new. It was beautiful."

"Baie aangename plek. Kos is uitstekend en ons het baie lekker 4 dae gebly. Sal defnitief weer kom kuier. Voorstel : - Ons het tot Saterdag gesukkel om ons goed koud te kry in yskas. Voorstel dat jul dalk net yskas aansit voor mense inbook. Dit kan baie help. Verder is die plek pragtig en ons het on herdenking en my verjaarsdag daar kom vier en dit was goeie keuse. Lekker dag,"

"We had an amazing stay at Weltevrede Lion Farm.The owners are friendly and exceptional service.Abundance of wild life, and very well looked after. It's amazing to walk through the cages and seeing all these wild animals.The Lions are beautiful, and it's they are just so glorious. And the roars of the lions in the night and the sounds of the owls. The only thing you hear is the farm animals and peace and quite, no cars! When it's time to leave, you wish you could just leave your life behind and stay there forever.I would recommend Weltevrede Lion Farm to everybody.
