Content Lodge is a nature-lovers delight, on 50-hectares of mixed-bushveld with a large variety of indigenous trees and flora. Either sit in one of the many garden 'corners' and be entertained by the numerous birds frolicking in the garden or take a stroll and spot them in the veld.
The farm is a part of a larger game farm. There is giraffe, kudu, zebra, blesbok, impala, wildebeest, gemsbok and red harteebees, altogether 15 species, on the property and there are many walks through the game area. There are also splendid views of the Magaliesberg Mountain and the Hekpoort Valley itself from the property.
Content offers charming rooms and facilities that are tastefully outfitted to ensure your stay is both comfortable and memorable. The lodge is let as a self-catering facility, with everything that you may need being provided. There is a plunge pool where you can relax on the deck and the children can romp away, and there is also a bush braai where you can end your day staring at the stars and philosophising about it all. Laze your days away on the large stoep catching up on your reading to the accompaniment of birdsong. At night the stoep transforms into your candle light dining-room in the bush.
During the day the bird life is a soothing accompaniment of various birdcalls, while later jackal calls and nightjars are heard far off with twilight descending. There is lots of space to hike with hikes ranging from easy walks to a more serious three kilometre long hike. The farm lies about one hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, and approximately forty minutes from Lanseria International Airport.
"The lodge was exactly what we as a family wanted for a family get together."
"More facilities close to the pool area, like a toilet and a braai area there..."
"Beautiful venue, lovely surroundings, clean, peaceful, delightful....."
"From the moment we entered the lodge it was a WOW feeling and it was not possible to take it in all at the same time and sometimes felt like we were in an old farmhouse turned museum. The only regret we have is that we did not have sufficient time to really enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the place. The game drive proved to be unexpected as we had sightings of the giraffes as well. The lodge has all the conveniences for a romantic getaway with a partner or for a group."
