"Valley Lodge is very well maintained BUT the following was lacking:<br/>Geyser on time switch--we went to concert and upon arrival back (cold and wet) looking forward to a hot shower -found the water to be ice cold and also no plug for basin??<br/>Bed also needs a new mattress.<br/>"

"I was disappointed in Valley Lodge. I was expecting 5 star and thought of it more like 3 star. The shower did not work properly in unit 3 and the bath plug leaked so we could not have a good bath or shower. We were also overcharged and on departure were charged a different rate to what was quoted and agreed upon.I would not return to Valley lodge."

"Excellent reception and service by staff who responded positively and pro-actively to special requests. Room well appointed and comfortable. Staircases to bedrooms are very steep and not suitable for handicapped or slightly infirm or elderly guest."

"One night wasn't sufficient to properly assess your facility particularly as I had to leave at 7.30 - apparently before breakfast was served. Please review your directions. Perhaps it was just me but I found them very confusing."

"Our short stay at Valley Lodge was wonderful. Our needs were catered to, in spite of the request being made a month before our arrival. We had asked if we could check in earlier, as we were attending a wedding. Upon landing at the airport (around 08:00 am) I received a call saying we could check in any time. That was very considerate. The place is lovely and tranquil. We will definitely stay there again."

"The room was very comfortable and clean and everything needed was provided. The garden and surrounds are beautiful and the decor is really nice. The only problem I had was that there was no dustbin in the shower room and a bench or something to put clean clothes on ready for when one is ready to dress after a shower but that was minor detail. The staff were professional and the food was good. Will definitely stay there again well worth the money spent! "
