"We loved our stay at Blue Haze and felt right at home. Sylvia was a super star, washed dishes and tidied up, what a treat! The views are stunning and the hammock was a favorite for the kids and adults.

Establishments response:

Hi,

Thank you so much for your great review. • "Wonderful break"

    26 September 2017

"Plus: Spacious property in the countryside away from the hustle, very well equipped kitchen- enough of everything, cosy house, great surroundings, serviced daily by friendly Sylvia, etc. There are thoughtful small touches at Blue Haze which was nice. Wood available to purchase on site, lovely garden, close to a dam and farms, yet close enough to Underberg to get anything you run out of, nice fireplace. We were accommodated to shower in the neighbouring flat - thanks!Minus: Very few; no braai tongs as mentioned, some surfaces were dusty when we arrived, no upstairs toilet, one bath and one toilet for whole house. All in all we loved staying at Blue Haze and would recommend it to others"

  • "Die Prag van Himeville en die Berge"

    25 June 2017

"Sit was 'n heerlike gesinswegbreuk by Blue Cottage. Ons het die stilte van Himeville geniet en was naby genoeg aan ander besienswaardighede om nooit verveerld te wees nie. Die Cottage self is baie goed ingerig, skoon en netjies. Ons het elke aand lekker gebraai, om die kaggel gekuier en warm geslaap. Dit was ons eerste kuier in Suidelike Drakensberge en ons sal verseker weer gaan!"

  • "Feeling unsafe"

    01 September 2016

"We came from Austria to have a good look at the beautiful Drakensberge about which we have heard a lot. It was a wonderful time in Himeville at the Blue Haze cottage, which we enjoyed tremedously. In the morning between minus 7 degrees and minus 1 degree, but with a big fire from wood supplied by Silvya at a reasonable price the problem was solved very quickly. The only big problem was security, so my wife felt a bit unsafe. The automatic entrance gate was broken and fixed with a few pieces of wood and and wires. The upper part of the kitchen backdoor was broken und could be wrenched open with one hand. The main entrance to the cottage only had normal window panes, now very difficult to kick in. Also there were some bulbs not working and Silvya had no replacements. There was a lot of African art in the cottage tables, sidetables and so on, but all of these were a bit wobbly, touch them a bit and they fall over, and everything on it falls with it. The neighbours dog seems to use the place as his own private toilette, seems to be well trained. Fixing the hole in the fence would be a good idea. Also the owners living in Durban should come every now and then to have a look at the the place to fix things, although Silvya does a tremendeous job keeping the place going. All in all we had a good time going up to Sani pass and the weather was beautiful and cold, which in winter is absolutely normal."
