  "It is a slightly older establishment however, t was clean, the staff were really nice, the location was great for me. Everything worked, internet, TV,aircon so I was really happy. It's a bit of a gem unfortunately not many people find it. The breakfast was great. So staying in that peaceful surrounding on a business trip was awesome"

  "We had a wonderful one night stay at Blue Cottages. It is very exotic with an extremely interesting jungle garden. The standard is not luxury but everything works: a/c, wifi on the veranda, clean swimming pool. Dinner is served in a romantic arbor, ok, but but not gourmet. But you get a lot for the overall low price. We had a lovely breakfast at the Monsoon Gallery before we left for Pretoria.<div><br /><div><br /></div></div>"

Dinner is available if one does not want to cook for oneself. I was very comfortable during my stay and found Blue Cottages to be great value for money."

  "The cottages are set in a jungle like garden. We used the family cottage and found it comfortable and spacious enough for three adults (son of 17). A kitchen in the rondavel for self catering. We were served a lovely dinner under the stars in the garden. Tony and Tertia made us feel welcome and we will definitely stay there again. Bigger soaps could be provided in the family cottage."

  "Nice location on the way from Kruger to Blye Canyon. We had a very friendly welcome and a cute cottage. Dinner was luckily offered to us and we said yes due to no other chances in the area. Unfortunately, we were then not asked again about the contents of dinner and just got the whole three-course menu with starter, main course and dessert. The price was fine with R160 per person. Also without telling the price, we paid R25 for going online for only 10 minutes. Overall, a nice location but there should be more communication regarding prices. Just to keep it fair."

  "Pragtige plek en die ontbyt was WONDERLIK !Selfs die feit dat ons laat daar aangekom het (22h00) het niks verander aan die vriendelike diens wat ons ontvang het nie.Ek is spyt ek het nie op die pad terug ook so gemaak nie.Ek kan dit hoog aanbeveel.Die Weavers family nest wat ons in gebly het was ook heeltemal groot genoeg vir 2 volwassenes, 3 tieners en 'n kleuter !Selfs die 'touch' met al die muskiet weerders wat reg gestaan het was great - ons het nie nodig gehad om enigeiets uit die kar uit te gaan krap daardie tyd van die aand nie !Ons sal beslis weer daar gaan bly."

  "Blue cottages is a great launch pad for the Panorama route-- but don't stay there if you need easy access to anything like wi-fi, ATM, dinner restaurant, shopping, etc. It's quiet and secluded and the environment is lovely. Hosts are very attentive and helpful. A cottage for two singles is a bit cramped for two people with luggage, and there is no AC. The effect of the sluggish one-speed fan for sleeping seems to be negated by the mosquito net."

  "The garden cottage we had was beautiful and had everything we needed. Blue cottages is in a fantastic location for exploring the Blyde Canyon. There is so much to see and do in the area, and Blue Cottages makes the ideal base to do explore from. Maria and Pieter were extremely helpful, and gave us good tips for planning our day trips. The breakfasts were excellent! We were sad to leave, and will definitely be back!"

Maria and Pieter could not have been more welcoming - and the 3-course dinner by lamplight on the verandah of the farmhouse was truly delicious - and atmospheric !Breakfast (the 'healthy option') was a refreshing and large freshly-prepared fruit salad, followed by warm home-made bread and jam.We stayed in the en suite twin-bedded Quail Cottage - which was beautifully furnished and very comfortable indeed. Our choice is always character rather than high luxury (and 'anonymity' of hotels) - and we were not disappointed."
