Rose Cottage
Rose Cottage is a wonderful self-catering unit that is fully furnished and equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Hogsback. The cottage is complete with a tranquil garden and a sparkling swimming pool. The unit is serviced daily so you can simply relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the area.
The unit comprises two bedrooms fitted with a double and twin beds respectively. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the lounge area comes with very comfortable sofas, a cosy Jetmaster fireplace and a TV; please bring your smartcard for DStv access. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes everything you will need for effective self-catering. Braai facilities are provided.

"Not Very Inviting"
05 January 2016"The entire place suffers from a lack of pride or thought for the guest. The space just to the right of the pool is used as a parking lot for the host's trailers and some pieces of rusting junk. The cottage is quite exposed and offers little privacy. You get the feel that you're second cousins using the spare cottage on the property cause you've got nowhere else to live.<div><br /></div><div>The cheap plastic patio furniture was filthy dirty upon our arrival and stayed that way until we left late the next morning. The interior is dark and damp, the fridge old and rusted, the couch covers were dirty and the bed spread had some dubious stains on them.</div><div><br /></div><div>I understand that the price is competitive but it's still more than R600 a day which could be put to good use. The place is situated in a huge beautiful garden so it really is a shame that seemingly very little thought has gone in to making this cottage an inviting getaway for holidaymakers in need of a place in which they feel welcome and can relax.</div><div><br /></div><div>We spent one night in the place and found alternative accommodation at the same price.</div><div><br /></div><div>Hope the host can sort these issues out and get some good business.</div>"

07 January 2013"Cheap and cheerful probably sums this one up. We stayed for just short of a week and found everything comfortable enough. However the mattresses are not fantastic. It would have been good to have been able to swim in the pool which remained green for our stay despite the efforts of the owner. The garden is lovely and there is a friendly dog."
