The Stables Guest House

The Stables Guest House is a historical building, offering comfortable accommodation during your stop over in Hopetown.

The Stables is a large thatch building, part of the Radnor Country Lodge. Rooms all include air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and DStv viewing in the communal lounge area. There is an la carte restaurant and licensed bar onsite, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Stroll around the huge gardens, or relax on the deck. During the hotter days, guest can take a plunge in the swimming pool. Self-catering facilities are available if required, as well as a braai area for guests that wish to enjoy a traditional South African meal.

"As a stop-over accommodation it was pleasant and rustic. It was a lot better than a normal truck-stop type overnight places with enough features to make it worth while to return, even with a family. The restaurant makes a very good pizza! The people were very helpful and it was a comfortable stay."

"The Stables is a good place for a stopover on the way to and from the Cape. We only stayed one night and found the hosts very friendly and accommodating. The beds are comfortable and the rooms and bathroom are clean. The only drawback was the smell of cigarette smoke in the living areas due to people being allowed to smoke there. The room itself however did not smell of smoke."

"We were very well received by friendly staff. The room was clean and neat and the garden very pleasant to walk in. We are animal lovers so the farmyard was lovely. The restaurant was super. The food was well prepared and once again the staff was well trained, well mannered and friendly. Very enjoyable visit."
