Hout Bay Hideaway Cape Town

Hout Bay Hideaway is a 20-minute drive from downtown Cape Town, among palms, wild olives, lemon trees and proteas. This is a luxurious retreat overlooking the ocean, mountains, harbour and beach.

We offer spacious apartments with large beds, cosy armchairs, many genuine antiques and original oil paintings. Our guests will be snug in winter with open fires and underfloor heating. The kitchenettes are fully equipped, including microwave ovens, fridges, irons and ironing boards.

Each apartment has access to the rocks and grottoes of the wild, a climbing garden, the vine-shaded veranda, the barbecue area, a saltwater swimming pool and even a secluded open-air bathtub.

Guests have a choice of king-size or queen-size beds with pure cotton bed furnishings and non-allergic duvets. The rooms have spacious bathrooms with baths or jet showers, luxury toiletries, hairdryers, dual voltage sockets, underfloor heating and heated towel racks

We can provide meals and laundry facilities by arrangement. We provide a cleaning service and the rooms have Internet access. There is safe parking on the property and 24-hour security surveillance.

"Martin and Susan were wonderful hosts. As we were leaving very early in the mornings for fishing trips, they kindly accommodated us by ensuring there was breakfast for us the night before. We were given keys and gate remotes and felt free to come and go as we pleased. Many thanks for a lovely time. P.S. Zak did manage to spear a 72kg yellow fin tuna on the last day in 14 degree waters."
