KwaLane Country House

KwaLane Country House is a breathtaking country house with glorious views, nestled in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Located within the Old Halliwell Estate, nestled in between Howick and Curry's Post in the heart of the Midlands Meander, Kwalane Country House is handily situated about four and a half hours' drive from Johannesburg and an hours drive out of Durban.

This convenient location makes this the ideal family holiday retreat, a base from which to explore the surrounding areas or for wedding party guests.

The house sleeps up to eight guests in four comfortable bedrooms. The bedrooms are furnished with either a double or twin beds and the main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer. The lounge has a large TV with DStv and a sound system. There is also underfloor heating, which keeps the house nice and warm in winter, as well as a lovely log fireplace for building roaring fires and snuggling up in front of.

The view is wonderfully captured from the veranda that wraps around most of the house and is accessed by several French doors. The picturesque view is matched by the tranquillity of the area. The outside fire area makes for snug nights under the stars, socializing with friends and loved ones.

The KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area boasts many golf courses, trout fishing dams, winding rivers, spectacular waterfalls, beautiful wildflowers and a huge variety of bird and animal life. Explore the Midlands Meander with its many art galleries, restaurants and craft shops.
