Isandlwana Lodge

Among the rolling hills of Zululand, ensconced within the rugged rock face, lies the enchanting Isandlwana Lodge. Majestically perched overlooking the historic battlefield and vast plains where the mighty Zulus triumphed over the British in the epic Anglo-Zulu war, this extraordinary retreat is a sight to behold. Shaped like a resplendent shield, adorned with a thatched roof and formidable rock walls that mirror the revered Zulu kraal, Isandlwana Lodge offers an unforgettable experience for the discerning traveler.

Nestled in the very heart of this hallowed ground, where history was made, Isandlwana Lodge echoes with the echoes of Zulu heritage and reverberates with untold tales. This rich cultural tapestry is beautifully woven throughout the public areas and the twelve opulent bedrooms, ensuring an immersive journey into the past. From every vantage point, the sweeping panoramas of the untouched plains, untouched by modern development, transport guests to a time over 130 years ago. Elegantly gazing upon these magnificent vistas, one can relish a refreshing sundowner on the upper veranda, luxuriate on a private balcony, or savor a meticulously crafted meal in the grand dining room with its soaring ceiling.

While embarking on a Dalton-led tour is a must, guests can also retreat to the sanctuary of the library, where the stories of the region's storied past await. Engage in captivating conversations with like-minded wanderers in the inviting lounge and bar areas, or take a blissful dip in the rock pool, as the limitless horizons unfold before your eyes.

Isandlwana Lodge is ideally situated within close proximity to South Africa's renowned game reserves, beckoning wildlife enthusiasts to experience the wonders of nature.
