16 January 2017"A very bad experience. Not necessarily very neat establishment. on the one light that works in the hallway there is an lot of spiderwebs clearly not been clean in wile. Swimming pool terrible green and dirty. Dead spiders in bathroom. The Photos does not reflect the tru nature of room Decided not to stay there was just not near enough. lost my deposit was worth it"

30 September 2013"Had a wonderful weekend stay when we attended a wedding in Hartswater on the Saturday. A warm friendly welcome by Berta and staff. We immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and almost part of the family. The rooms were clean and comfortable and there is secure parking. I would recommend Jan Kemp Hotel to anyone attending a function in Vaalharts Valley or as a stop over en route to Kimberley.Breakfast was tasty and sufficient.A real hidden gem highly recommended."

Although we were late arriving on a Sunday night, we could even order a delicious plate of sandwiches. The host, Berta was an information goldmine about the area."

08 January 2012"We received good service and value for money. We enjoyed the food for supper and breakfast. There is safe parking in a locked courtyard, which makes for a relaxed stay. My 14 year old enjoyed the pool. The service was friendly! I can recommend the Jan Kemp Hotel."
