Platteland Gastehuis

Platteland Gastehuis is a small but luxurious owner-managed guest house, located off the N18 in the Jan Kempdorp area. Settled on the N18 road which connects to the N12 road that leads you to Cape Town or Johannesburg, Platteland Gastehuis is the ideal stopover for those who are travelling to the Cape or Gauteng, whether its for holiday or business. Jan Kempdorp is also the only town that is located in two provinces, the Northern Cape and the North West.

We currently offer two double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, each stylishly decorated by the owner. Room facilities include DStv, a microwave and mini-fridge, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Unwind and enjoy the beautiful view from your room. Safe undercover parking is provided. Each room has its own private braai area, and braai packs can be arranged. Platteland Gastehuis can also prepare breakfast and dinner on request for an additional fee, which can be served in your room or in the boma.

Guests can relax and read a book in the beautiful garden, or play a round of golf at the nearby golf club which is within walking distance. For those who rather want to read a book in our beautiful garden,

Some interesting attractions in close proximity to Platteland Gastehuis include the Hartswater Wine Cellar, Olive SAs headquarters, and pecan nut factories and farms, among others. "If you're looking for a home away from home, then Platteland Gastehuis is your go-to guesthouse. The host, Laurike is very accommodating, heart warmingly welcoming, and very friendly. The place is sourounded by nature so you get to enjoy a pleasant and quiet break away from the noise of the city. The rooms are kept clean. The only drawback is that the bathroom doesn't have a door which means there's little to no privacy, not knowing of course whether it was just our room that had that unique feature. I recommdmend calling ahead to inquire about this before making your booking if this may be an issue for you. I know that the host will accommodate you as best as she can. I highly recommend that you try out this guesthouse. It's worth it!"

"TOns het toe nie daar gebly nie want Lourika was nie daar toe ons daar aankom nie. Ek het haar geskakel meet net voicemail gekry. Ons het toe by ander gastehuis gaan oornag. Sal dit waardeer as julle my deposito van R350 kan terugbetaal. Ek rate dit net een ster net om ek moet. Verseker was julle nog nie daar nie!!!!"
