  • "Solitude and pristine beauty - what a place to get lost in"

    26 August 2021

"Arrived and had the entire place to ourselves - our luck.Think it would be super cool even if other people around. Communal place with excellent kitchen (everything you need and more) and lots of mooching around/chilling space for everyone. Stole herbs from the garden for cooking and a lemon for the tequila :DHot shower. Comfy, clean bed and linen. Dishes washed for us. Absolutely spoilt. Went for a walk and discovered sneaky Teepee's if you really want solitude. Can't wait to go back. Everything was perfect only sad I didn't leave behind a pretty bead creation of sorts :DIf you need to immerse yourself in nature - this is it. Owners super inviting."

  • "Incredible views"

    14 January 2014

"Such an amazing venue. Pierre was incredibly helpful in getting us to the venue (no signs and quite a tough road!) so we felt at home right from the start. The remote buildings overlook a breathtaking Valley, and the surrounding forests play host to many wild horses, some of which we were lucky enough to see on our evening walk. The lack of electricity didn't phase us either - it just added to the overall rustic and peaceful feel. A true gem of a venue!"

  • "Worth every bump in the road"

    28 December 2013

"Let me be honest, the road to Kaapsehoop Adventures is not easy going for a small car, but it's very possible if you know dirt road driving and the owner Pierre always offers a helping hand where and how he can (wet weather can make some parts of the road very difficult to navigate, even for 2x4 bakkies). We only spent one night here but the experience was probably one of the most enjoyable Ive had in a long time. Pierre and Ingrid are two amazing people with giving hearts and warmth as abundant as the trees in the valleys (corny but it had to be said). Amenities are basic but works and everyone helps each other out to find a spot in the gas fridge, or whatever the need may be. This is a place and an atmosphere where one can switch off completely and take in every second of the breath-taking views, beautiful countryside and calming breezes blowing through the trees. A must see, I must say!"

  • "Enjoyed"

    31 October 2012

"The only problem I had was that our booking was never communicated with Pierre at Kaapsehoop adventures. We had to wait 2 hours in the cold and rain with a 9 month old baby that was sick."
