The cottage is situated in a tranquil area of Kei Mouth, just 320m from the main swimming beach. Enjoy a braai in the evening, tuck in early and listen to the waves breaking on the rocks in the distance.

The unit comprises a large room with a double bed with all linen supplied a comfortable lounge area adjacent. Bathroom has a shower with a gas geyser. Please bring your own towels for beach use. There is a fully equipped kitchen for your self-catering purposes, also with gas stove. The private braai area has a wood braai and Webber, overlooking the bush-veld where you will see abundant bird life, buck and cows grazing. Safe and secure parking provided for your peace of mind.

Guests will find the location ideal site as it is extremely quiet - away from the hustle and noise of the town. Take walks on the beach - main swimming beach just 320m from the cottage or at Morgan Bay. There are various walks and trails to explore, fishing, horse riding, abseiling, canoeing, hiking, mountain bike trails or relax at one of the great restaurants close by.

Spend lazy days with birds singing, coffee and the sound of the sea in the background - while planning the day's activities or just relaxing at the cottage.

"Fern Cottage is a fully equipped flat and Keith Mouth is ideally for people that likes to fish or just wants to rest. Morgan Bay is only a short drive away and really beautiful. The only negative thing we can say about Fern Cottage is the shower, if you are not use to a gas geyser showering can be a bit of a challenge. When you open the cold water to much the flame dies and you have to close all the taps first and start again for the flame to ignite again. The other thing is that if you use Cell C as service provider you really struggle to get data signal, but it is the whole of Kei Mouth not only Fern Cottage. Heidi is a lovely host and we would really recommend Fern Cottage to relax and recharge your batteries."

"I dislike the star rating as it is simplistic, and in this case 3 is probably too low, and in most respects 4 would be more accurate. The first hours were traumatic with legions of ants in two drawers and behind the bed(getting into the bedding), but with the help of Heidi's housesitter some Doom spray and white powder this was resolved and there were no more problems. We were also given R200 refund from our R900 (a couple for 3 nights). The cottage is lovely, and comfortable, the gas rings a bit fierce when you first turn them on, but work well, and sitting in the garden with the roar of the surf in the background, and birds and butterflies to entertain. And despite the warning to keep the door closed when not in the kitchen, I'm pleased to say we saw none!!! Fern Cottage is good for a tranquil stay. Robin"
