  "Got upgraded to one of the self catering units amongst the vineyards.Lovely farm feeling, very relaxing and well equiped unit. Manager very friendly and hospitable - phoned around for us to find a restaurant open.Wish we could have stayed longer."

  "Second year we've started our epic December road trip by staying at Kalahari Water. Always a pleasure. The camp sites that we book (on the dam) are great, with shade from the vineyard. We even had some excellent fishing this time. Ablutions in great shape, and being regularly cleaned, which is fantastic. Will definitely stay again should our road take us there. Recommended! Even if you're keen to see Augrabies, we think this is the better spot to stay though it is about 70km away from the park."

  "The anticipation of finding the tranquility one needs to revive oneself after a very demanding year, was fulfilled by this rustic, perfectly situated bush camp next to a river and bordered by a vineyard. This, as well as the owner, Dirk Malan's friendly, hands-on approach, made our stay unforgettable. We even caught a small fish and nearly lost the rod as we never anticipated a small yellow fish to be that strong. Then the big surprise! At night we would hear something that sounded like people plunging into the river, only to see one morning how the vervet monkeys cross the river, by jumping in and swimming to the other side. Even the mothers with babies! We extended our stay and plan to go tubing down the river, apart from visiting all the nearby sights. Thank you Dirk, we will see you again soon."

  "We found accommodation very basic. When we opened the door all we could smell was cigarette smoke and stale air from the aircon. There were about seven flies in the cottage. the freezer needed to be defrosted and cleaned someone had spilled ice cream in the freezer. The fridge needed defrosting. It just was not a very clean place, otherwise not a bad stay would not go back there."

  "Ek was nie baie beindruk nie. 1)ontvangs was swak, chalet wat ek bespreek het was nie beskikbaar nie,bestuur het nie eers moeite gedoen om verskoning te kom maak nie. 2)Al is dit self catering verwag mens daar moet handdoeke wees of selfs n stukkie seep sal ook indruk verbeter."

  "This establishment does not live up to the colour, promise and anticipation created by its web page and brochure. The 2 star grading might have been justified many years ago before the neglect was allowed to set in. The walls are paper thin and although this is a working farm, the smell of fresh manure does detract from your enjoyment at meal times!"
