Emaweleni Bed and Breakfast is a charming establishment in the suburbs of King Williams Town. They have five room options, suiting single guests to families.

There are the standard single and double bedrooms as well as a twin bedroom with two single beds, a family room which can accommodate four people and a dorm that sleeps up to five individuals with the beds sold on an individual basis. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with either a bath or a shower. Each of the rooms has a TV with DStv. The rates include the room only and breakfast and dinner can be arranged at an additional charge. There are two braai areas for guests as well as a swimming pool and a small conference centre.

King Williams Town is a beautiful town outside of East London and is known for its historic stone buildings. The area plays an important role in the history of apartheid and is the starting point for the Nelson Mandela Route. Many museums house historic artifacts and the Amathole Museum has the largest collection of mammals in Africa. The botanical gardens are renowned for their beauty and are a peaceful escape from the city.

  • "Ridiculous"

    06 July 2017

"Worst place ever. Unwelcoming and unfriendly hosts. I made an enquiry for five people, got a quotation for 5 people but on arrival I was told their rooms take a maximum of 4 people per room and that it was stated in an email they sent me. So why quote me on the price for 5 people if you don't have space for 5 people? We had to sleep uncomfortable as there was room for only 4. The water was cold on the 2nd day. Overall bad experience"

"We booked a DOUBLEroom for 2 adults but found that there was only onetowel and one cup. The supply of tea/coffee was totally inadequate. That being said the room was neat and clean with an overpowering smell (fragrance) of some air refresher. After the shower was used we discovered a leak from the bathroom to the bedroom and furthermore there was no hot water for the second shower."

  • "Disappointing!"

"A few hours before we arrived, we were redirected to Sunshine B&B. I regard this as a major downgrade and it was far from what we were expecting. Sunshine is also not listed on Safari's portfolio."
