Elephants Drift

Elephants Drift Safari Lodge offers you the chance to discover the real Kruger. Elephants Drift is charming, traditional and rustic, comprising of a number of thatched en-suite bedrooms arranged around a central lawn and the lodge itself.

Situated on a riverbed under a canopy of trees that provide shade from the African sun, our rooms are furnished with antiques and vintage-style fabrics, giving the lodge a classic African colonial style.

With nearly 6000 hectares of the most commercially undeveloped, unfenced and pristine wild in the Greater Kruger Park, we invite you to step into the bygone age of safari. When the land remained un-explored, the animals were truly wild, and around every corner a new adventure lay waiting.

We are a small, private lodge and have chosen to remain that way in order that we can give you our undivided attention and make you feel like part of the family. To us, hospitality is about connecting with people, making friends, and doing all we can to show those new friends the most wonderful, unique and memorable experience of their lives.

Owned by wildlife film-maker Richard Goss and his family for over 30 years, Elephants Drift has always been about creating magical and authentic wildlife experiences and making them accessible to all. During his career in wildlife documentary filming, Richard was privileged to spend a great deal of time with the wild animals of Southern Africa, witnessing nature in all its splendour.

It is his dream and passion to share this spectacular world with other people, in the hope that they will be captivated as he was, and just as inspired to preserve and protect it for future generations.

Elephants Drift is available for individual bookings and may also be booked exclusively. Please contact us for details.
