May se Huis

May se Huis is a comfortable little cottage situated in Paternoster, a quaint and picturesque fishing village located about 145 km from Cape Town and 15 km northwest of Vredenburg.

The cottage features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, an open-plan living area with a fireplace and full DStv, a patio with braai facilities, and safe off-street parking.

Paternoster is an all year round destination, famous for its traditional fishermans architecture and endless pristine sandy white beaches. Visitors to Paternoster delight in watching whales and dolphins frolicking in the ocean 10 months of the year. After the first spring rains fall, the landscape is transformed by the millions of indigenous flowers which open and densely carpet the earth in bright bursts of colour, usually between late July and September.

  • "The beautiful ocean view and peace + quiet"

    12 November 2017

"Thank you for this beautiful experience...I would however recommend that the parking of the different houses be marked correctly..as we had problems with neighbours using our parking spots.."

  • "Our weekend at Tobie"

    08 February 2016

"Very relaxing and overall quality is good. A bit of maintenance is needed however, which includes the blinds, shutters and windows. Sometimes felt a bit unsafe to walk around, especially early at night with some of elements around. Beef up security with more staff and patrols please. We had a wonderful relaxing time and enjoyed our stay at Tobie."

"Loved this cottage, exceeded expectations.<div>Need to always watch belongings, and don't leave valuables in the car - there are a lot of strangers walking around all day! We'll be back!</div>"

  • "Not overly impressed"

    31 March 2015

"Not overly impressed with Tobie given the daily rate paid. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the chalet. Curtains and couch slip covers are in desperate need of a wash, as they are grubby and stained. The plastic kitchen dustbin did not have a lid and therefore flies and ants were a problem. Plastic dustbins are inexpensive and surely a new one can be purchased for the amount that is charged to stay. The toilet seats are in extremely poor condition and were certainly not clean. The grouting of the tiled shower floor in main bedroom en-suite is mildew ridden and the shower in general does not get cleaned properly, as muck and grime are caked up on the bottom of the glass shower doors."
