Collingwoods Guest House

Collingwoods Guest House is a beautiful Old World homestead that is situated in the heart of Kloof. All bedrooms are en-suite and supplied with tea and coffee-making facilities. A delicious full English breakfast is served in a warm and friendly home away from home atmosphere.

The guest house has five large and comfortable en-suite bedrooms, a farmhouse-style lounge with a huge fireplace and an open-plan kitchen and dining room. Breakfast can either be served inside or outside on the patio beneath a magnificent 60-year-old tree.

"The room was spacious but not very clean. The bathroom had no shower curtain or door so the floor was flooded right near the entrance after each use of the shower. The tap to the basin was dirty and it leaked so we had to use a towel to prevent water seeping into the bedroom. There was a dirty used piece of soap on the basin, on our arrival, and minimal soap in the dispenser. The maid was seen cleaning the shower floor with the bath towels on our departure. The shower floor was mildewed in the corners and needed a good scrub. The hot water dispenser in the dining room had ants etc in the water and the mugs were not clean. There seemed to be only one maid for the whole establishment. The passages were not vacuumed for the entire 3 days of our stay. The host was friendly enough but he should have been supervising the cleaning more carefully."

"The place is very homely and clean. My family loved it. The breakfast was great. The owners Neels and Mary, they are amazing and we were made to feel like part of the family. We only spent one night and I will always sleep there when I visit my daughter at a nearby boarding school."

"Had a very good experience, would certainly recommend it to other people. The lady was very nice and welcoming - issues were attended to immediately. The place is very clean. Rooms are spacious. Very quite. Breakfast was delicious and sufficient. I really loved the place and would certainly stay there again."
