"Mount Currie Inn is the last place that I will ever stay out!!The rooms are small and for what you get is way overpriced. Our booking was not correct and had be changed when we arrived upon which it appeared that the receptionist had no idea as to what she was doing. The shower in one room (No. 7) did not work properly. There was no restaurant facility on site and were told that the dining room had been closed and once again when asked where we could go to eat the reception proved once again to be under trained in not knowing the local facilities and not been able to provide basic directions, this was left to another guest who was checking in at the time of query. We all felt unsafe in that the access to the main hotel parking was not secured and was easily accessible to all manner of people. The hotel was noisy and in general a very unpleasant experience!!!I will not recommend anybody to Mount Currie Inn!!!

Establishment's response

Dear Mr Shaun Condes,

I am very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience when sleeping over at Mount Currie Inn on 19 December 2012, what is of the greatest concern to me is that you experienced the receptionist to be uninformed or undertrained.

We have a lovely restaurant on site where we serve buffet meals, unfortunately December is our quietest time of the year and due to a very low demand for meals the restaurant did not open on the day when you visited our establishment. The receptionist in question is well acquainted with the premises and should have directed you to the Wimpy, Debonairs, Giramundo or Fast Shop which we also have on site. We have security guards on duty between 18h00 and 06h00 every day patrolling the premises and also controlling access to the Hotel parking by way of a sliding metal gate.

However, in spite of the aforementioned I take note of all your concerns and they will be addressed accordingly.

Yours sincerely

Jack Nel"
