Whether you're just passing through Kokstad or planning a break in the country, Peacehaven Guest House is the perfect getaway. Unwind and relax in the heart of the beautiful Kargs Post Valley. The majestic mountains which surround Peacehaven Guest House provide a breathtaking backdrop to the scenic walks, horse trails, trout fishing, and bird watching available in the area.
Peacehaven is situated in East Griqualand, at the tip of the Southern Drakensberg and central to Pietermaritzberg, Durban and Umtata. Located just 5 km off the N2, this cosy and intimate guest house with a magnificent view of Mount Currie offers you a warm welcome.
The sunny bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, whilst in the lounge, a roaring fire and soft chairs are irresistible when the weather turns cold. Delicious country meals are served in the cosy dining room or on the verandah overlooking a picturesque English garden. Dinner, bed and breakfast is available upon request.

08 October 2014"A friend and I recently stayed at Peacehaven Guesthouse and it proved to be one of the highlights of our three week drive across South Africa. We stayed in a charming thatched roofed cottage overlooking fields and mountains featuring a stunning African sunset and, of course, the peacefulness of the countryside. Very welcome after the rigors of the N2.The standout at Peacehaven though is the warm hospitality. What a treat after a long day's drive to sit down to a glass of wine, a lovely home cooked dinner and interesting conversation. If we are ever back this way, we will definitely make a stop at Peacehaven!"

The home has a beautiful view, the rooms are very pleasant and the staff most helpful. We needed an overnighter that offered dinner - and what a delicious meal. Hats off to Pat and James.
