  "Dark, dingy, musty smelling room. One light bulb working in the center light. No towels - when I asked if we could have some was told they were in the wash and was given two hand towels (there were 3 of us). No sugar, no teaspoons, lumpy pillows and tired, stained linen. Very disappointed. Certainly not value for money. Happy ii"

  "I don't complain easily, but we were very disappointed with Rest Assured Guest House.As we checked in we were asked for payment. I assured the receptionist that we had paid in full in November. Luckily I had the printed proof of payment with me but the receptionist still rang the '"powers that be" and had a hushed conversation, before saying, it's okay". She then told us that there were water restrictions and that they had "specially turned the water on for us" as though they were doing us a favour.The last straw was that the ice trays in the fridge were empty and when my husband went to reception he was told they "they" had forgotton to fill them! Rest Assured we won't be staying there again."

  "This is a very basic guesthouse. We stayed one night and it seems as if it is geared towards clientele that simply need a place to rest their heads. We slept well and the bed was comfortable. The house is obviously old and has a charm to it. Some of the furniture looks antique, but some of it is simply old and the house has a musty smell in places. It has a pool, but this was green. There is wifi, but it seems to kick you off every now and then. The views depicted in some of the pictures on the website is misleading as the house is in the middle of town and from no point on the property will you see the wide vistas depicted. The lady that helped us was very friendly and helpful, but met us in her pajamas the next morning to let us on our way. Our overall experience was pleasant, but if we were on a romantic weekend away we'd be less than pleased. In terms of the price this is ok for an overnight. But expect basic friendly service rather than a luxurious experience."
