Arum Place is situated in a tranquil Cul-De-Sac less than 30 m from the beach in Kommetjie with sea and mountain views from all rooms and views of Hout Bay and Table Mountain on a clear day.The house has both an upstairs and downstairs apartments within one house. The luxurious upstairs apartment consists of 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms with seperate showers anda bath The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan. The main bedroom has a on suite bathroom and .There is a large covered patio . Outdoor braai facilities are available. . All bedding and towels are provided (EXCLUDING swimming towels) for short term lets. Please NOTE that over December peak season the upper and lower units need to be reserved together as we cater for bigger groups that time.this is from about 15th dec to 10th january.The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils and appliances. There is a seperate laundry room. The lounge has a smart TV, dstv is enabled with Premium . The downstairs apartment has similar features to upstairs, excluding the sea views. Both upstairs and downstairs, together, can be used to accommodate groups of up to 10 people comfortably.GOOD WI FI IN THE ENTIRE HOUSE. Kommetjie has stunning sunsets and it offers close walking distance (5min) to the main swimming beach, local shops in the village and the slipway. Kommetjie's beaches offer excellent swimming, surfing, wind-surfing, walks and relaxation. There are many hiking trails within close proximity to Kommetjie, on the Mountains behind or in the Silvermine Nature Reserve a short distance away.Silvermine has one of the most spectacular hikes that will take you to the top of Silvermine and let you look down into the Republic of Hout Bay and over one of the worlds famous scenic drives Chapmans Peak drive. Sun valley is 8km from Kommetjie and has a brand new shopping mall containing major retail stores, a large Pick n Pay supermarket, restaurants and cinemas.The famous and spectacular Chapmans Peak is only 15 minutes away. The coastal towns of Simons Town, Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay are 10-15km away and offer many seafood restaurants, coffee houses and curio shops. Airport transfers and car hire gladly arranged on request. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Cape. The apartment is serviced weekly for short term lets and monthly for the longer lets. Lock up garage and off road parking for boats and trailers. No smoking is allowed in the house but there is a garden. Excellent monthly rates are also available upon inquiry however a Minimum stay of 2 days is applicable.

13 August 2017"We stayed in the upstairs house for four beautiful nights. We didn't imagine the house would be so well equipped, with a dishwasher, gas stove. DSTV, fireplace and a great range of cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery. There's a suprette and a deli in walking distance, and many restaurants nearby. The beach is on your doorstep, offering beautiful walks. The owner, Shona, is great, and the tenants downstairs were friendly and kind. No matter the weather, this is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself, without a worry in the world. Highly recommended!"

01 November 2010"Arum Place is a very comfortable, well equipped apartment and indeed very close to the sea. We were, however, very disappointed by the fact that there is no sea view as advertised. A hedge has obviously covered the one view and the view from the living room is obstructed by a plastic film stuck on the windows that is bubbled and peeling. All the windows in the apartment were also extremely dirty."

28 September 2009"They say a photograph speaks a 1000 words and this is true of Arum place. Its pretty and if one stands on the verandha one can see the sea. We cannot add more than that as in typical Cape weather it poured the whole week-end. If it wasn't for the DSTV package it could've been an awful experience. Fully equipped and great for access to the Lighthouse in Kommetjie and walks around Misty Cliffs"

25 March 2008"Very comfortable stay in small but well-equipped apartment close to the beach. David was very welcoming and we really enjoyed ourselves. Long Beach (3 mins drive or 10 mins walk) is really stunning and not as crowded as you would expect on a hot day."
