Situated deep in the heart of the Swartland, Vleidam Guest Farm in Koringberg is the peaceful getaway you have been searching for. With panoramic views of the richly fertile farmlands, the farm offers tranquil, country-living for the whole family. Stay within a typical working farm environment with loads of animal and birdlife to enjoy. Vleidam farm has plenty of activities with its picturesque mountain or koppie, ideal for hiking, trail running, cycling, or 4x4 trailing, which takes you to phenomenal lookout points.

Accommodation comprises of 4 self-catering cottages that come with years of history. Now renovated, the stylish, farm-style cottages were originally built in the 1920s and still has its initial foundations. Cottage 1 and 2 are 2-bedroom units that can each accommodate up to 5 guests. It can also be used as a 10 sleeper house. Each unit also offers a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with indoor braai facilities and a living room with a TV that has M-Net and DStv channels. Other amenities include a fan and heater in each room. Outside, guests have access to a stoep, garden, swimming pool and outdoor braai facilities. Cottage 3 and 4 both has a spacious bedroom with a queen size bed, a modern bathroom with a bath and a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace inside. Each cottage has a large stoep-area with outside braai-facilities and a breathtaking view of the Swartland.

We provide soaps and toiletries in each bathroom as well as towels and bed linen for each guest. On arrival, guests will get a freshly baked bread, rusks, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea and sugar which is included in the price. The cottages are disabled friendly, family friendly and we offer secure, off-street parking on the farm. Vleidam Guest Farm offers agricultural tours. You may also want to explore the nearby towns of Moorreesburg, Riebeek-Kasteel or Misverstand dam where you can swim, ski, canoe or boat. These touristy towns have plenty of fabulous restaurants, farm stalls as well as wine farms for you to enjoy, all less than 10 minutes away. Otherwise, enjoy an evening in around the braai pit on your personal front lawn where kids can play while watching the sunset over the farming meadows. "We stayed in cottage 1 and it was awesome. It brought back so many memories of childhood farm living. Absolute peacefulness and serenity. The kitchen was very well equipped and the display of some old appliances was heart warming. Our 3year old grand son was ecstatic and totally overwhelmed with the interaction and display of the farm animals and being able to touch a little tortoise and feeding him some apple . The play equipment and small pool was thoroughly enjoyed. The dcor in the cottage was also beautiful and it was amazing to read the articles on the history of the farm. The matrasses on the beds were still in good condition as well as the lounge suite. The outside lounging areas were also thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't want to come back home. "This was an awesome experience. The family enjoyed it, the peacefulness and the beautiful views on the farm. The Hosts, Nikki and John were great. On arrival there was freshly baked farm bread with butter and strawberry jam in the kitchen. We were taken the next morning on a tour of the farm and the town Koringberg. This was extremely informative and interesting. My granddaughter enjoyed collecting the chicken eggs and feeding the lambs their milk bottle. The cottage is extemely comfortable and has all that a family needs, from DSTV to a fire place in the kitchen. This is definitely a place to relax, enjoy the fresh farm air and the peaceful environment away from the busy city life, with very friendly Hosts. My wife forgot her jacket there and Nikki was kind enough to mention she is coming to Town and will bring it with. This is Hosts going beyond the extra mile, due to their awesome nature. Like Nikki says Vleidam is "Hemel op Aarde". I fully agree and will definitely go there again. Cheers Elton"

"Loved our stay, it was very basic, clean and straightforward. Kids loved exploring the farm life - magnificent male turkey (who we decided to name Roger) showing off, albino peahen sitting on her eggs, and the beautiful landscape was wonderful. " Was baie beindruk met pragtige en gerieflike akkomodasie by Vleidam gastehuis. John en Nikki , julle kan met reg trots voel op julle plek.  Daar is soveel aandag gegee aan detail  soos die geskiedenis van die opstal en  dingetjies wat veral die dames sal waardeer en oplet, bv. die babkamergeriefies. En dan word mens nog bederf  met vars plaasbrood. Sal defnitief die verblyf by ons vriende aanbeveel. <br />"
