Bhekula Sand Forest Lodge

Located just 5 minutes from the Tembe Elephant Park, 32 kilometers from Kosi Bay Border Post, and just 45 minutes from Kosi Mouth, Lake Sibaya and the Maputaland Coastal Forest reserve makes Bhekula Sand Forest Lodge an ideal base from which to explore Maputaland and southern Mozambique.

This private lodge consists of four chalets, each tucked away and surrounded by luxuriant bush maximising privacy and encouraging the abundant and diverse bird and butterfly life.

Each room has two single beds and the possibility of a third bed and fourth in the same room. The en-suite bathrooms, with showers, have a sliding glass door opening directly onto the forest. Units are linked by a network of paved pathway and serviced by a central kitchen and lounge and dining facility.

The kitchen is comprehensively equipped and has a standard fridge-freezer unit and an additional chest freezer. Cooking facilities consist of a four-plate gas stove and oven in the kitchen and an outside braai facility as well as a weber braai facility.

Rates for the lodge are on a self-catering basis, however the lodge does have a cook on the premises so dinner, bed and breakfast as well as lunch will gladly be served on request, for an additional fee. Firewood can also be purchased at the lodge.
