  • "PATETIES!!!!!!!!!"

    04 May 2018

"Dit was 'n absolute grillerige ervaring. Die kamer, badkamer en beddegoed was vuil. In die een kamer kon mens duidelik sien iemand bly daar, want daar was persoonlike items in die kaste. Die beddegoed was vuil en die toilet het nie gewerk nie. Nodeloos om te se, ons het glad nie geslaap nie en net gewag vir die grens om oop te maak sodat ons daar kon wegkom. Ek kan nie glo dat Safari hulle met hierdie plek vereenselwig nie."

  • "Good but not perfect."

"Cooking and washing up facilities are not as one would expect for the price paid, equipment was re-purposed from a caravan. Some equipment in the unit was not working. Beds were clean and tidy."

  • "No highlights, just disappointment, definitely the lowlight of our holiday"

"Everything could be improved - nothing as advertised on the website was true."

"The Camp site was a bit small. The toilet close to the camp site was in very bad shape. There were toilets close to the bar area that we could use that they are busy remodelling. There were no doors on the 4 showers which meant we had no privacy. The staff was friendly but I really think they can brush up on the overall cleanliness and security."

  • "Kosibay Bush Lodge"

    04 October 2017

"Friendly staff but the accommodation was not up to standard. The showers did not have a doors and it meant the water went everywhere. The Fridge in the unit smelled like fish and was leaking all over the floor. There were no bath mats and not all the cutlery was provided for in the self catering unit. The bedding was not up to standard. They do not have a tumble dryer on the premises (Laundry service) and I think it is a must as the towels does not dry overnight in the humid area."

  • "Totally disappointed"

    29 April 2017

"The place is not equiped for camping, showers is just cement with water stains against the wall and bathroom smells like wet cement. My two year old son stepped into something that looks like a septic tank hole in the ground covered with old roof zink when I tried to help him the things gave way under me and both of us got hurt. It was directly at the back of our campsite and there was no warning signs on there. It is very dangerous. The night we slept there there was loud music playing until late.We paid for 2 stands although one stand would have been big enough and there were NO others campers. We would not recommend this place to any other people."

  • "a definite relaxing experience!!!"

    22 March 2017

"Johan & Annalize are awesome hosts, their camp sites are spacious and clean, the bar and restaurant is up to standard and they serve a mean fully loaded Hamburger that is to die for!!! The atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility and a must destination if relaxing is on the top of your list. We'll be back!!!"

  • "A nightmare stay"

    02 March 2017

"The bathrooms are a total mess, disgusting and a disgrace with flooded floors due to broken, leaking and non~working toilets. Not one proper working toilet in either the men or ladies ablution blocks. Same goes for the showers. Constant leaking taps showerheads and burst pipes caused rust and black mould everywhere. Hot water depends on an open fire outside to warm the geyers and is only available if someone bothers to make a fire, however no warm water in the ladies bathroom. The scullery is a cold water only, rusted basin with no downpipes. Add to all of this a green swimming pool and loud and noisy music till late night or early morning hours and you find yourself in the most disfunctional place I ever experienced in my life"

"Friendly staff and overall a good experience. The single star is for bush lodge accommodation. This was unpleasant and not worth the money. Camping will be a much better option. I will probably go back to the lodge but will only camp."

  • "Good developments"

    17 June 2015

"Having recently stayed at the lodge I noticed that under the new owners a lot of previous complaints on the site had been addressed. For example brand new bathrooms in the cabins. They are making good developments and have really turned it into a stunning lodge. We had a great stay there and would recommend it."

  • "Kosi Bay Inn"

    21 May 2014

"Its been 2 months allready since we stayed at Kosi Bay Inn for a short family getaway. Life is going at such a busy pace that I wish we could return to Kosi Bay inn. The owner and management of the lodge went out of their way to make our holiday such a delight and comfortable even after I was at the wrong. I can truly recommend staying at this Lodge and would return as soon as the opportunity arises. Thank you Amalia, Gerrit and your team for a very warm stay at your lodge in March 2014.Blessings die Humans van Pretoria"

  • "Not happy with communial bath and toilet"

    11 February 2014

"Please communicate to the relevant person enquiring about accommodation that there is no bath and toilet in the cabin.Would not visit again.<br></br><b>Establishment's response</b><br></br><i>Thank you so much for the comment I just need to bring to your attention that you have booked a cabin chaletAnd on the description of cabin chalet on safari it is stated that there is only 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette of which you still need to use the ablution blocks and therefor the price is not too much, otherwise I should have charged around R800 per night? We are definitely look into building these chalets their own en-suite.Many thanks.</i>"

  • "December 2013"

"Hosts very accommodating, still under new management and lots of improvements done, with more to follow. Would like to go back and experience the "new" Kosi Bay Inn."

  • "Kosi Bay is great"

    16 July 2013

"Really enjoyed our stay at Kosi Bay Inn. The accommodation was really cheap and the excursions offered by our host was the cheapest in the area. We made an excursion to the Kosi Bay mouth (A must!) and to Ponta d'Ouro with our host. The excursions were great. The chalets are all in need of some attention and we experienced the following problems: (1) the water pipe leading to the chalet made the water smell like petroleum, (2) the stove provided for us was very cheap and one hot plate failed after the second night, (3) the mattresses on the beds are in need of replacement. I would definitely visit Kosi Bay Inn again for a very affordable holiday."

  • "Thank you"

    31 May 2012

"Lovely, comfortable, clean stop over on our way to Mozambique."

  • "Amazing!"

    19 January 2012

"Arriving at Kosi Bay Inn was like opening a present wrapped in newspaper only to discover that it contains the key to a Ferrari. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The hosts go out of their way to make your stay not only enjoyable, comfortable and affordable, but to add the extra flair that makes it memorable. Without constantly bugging us, they were always making sure that everything was fine, that we had what we needed and ensured that we always had something fun to do. Apart from the amazing time we had, it should be noted that there are enough ablution blocks to allow for privacy, even while camping, and that all the facilities are clean and safe, (with the most attentive and busy German shepherd to guard your campsite along with a security guard). All in all, a wonderful stay and definitely an establishment that will see a lot of me in the future."

  • "Most wonderful holiday"

    15 January 2012

"What an experience. We had the most wonderful holiday of all times and would visit any time. The hosts were very nice and made us feel welcome from the start. Just give Anton and Bridget time and this will become the number one destination for Kosi Bay."

  • "Camping at Kosi Bay Inn"

    04 January 2012

"We camped at Kosi Bay Inn and found it quite nice. During our stay the ablution facilities were kept clean and the inn is centrally located between the various beaches. Some members of our party did stay in the chalets and complained about the chalets themselves, as they where not serviced every day and a bit over priced for what you get. Other than that, the Kosi Bay region is fantastic and something to experience and explore."

  • "Overnight @ Kosi Bay Inn"

    13 June 2011

"We were in transit to Mozambique and discovered this inexpensive spot on the web. We arrived after dark and our hosts were fantastic. They ended up cooking us fresh fish and we handed over our braai meat as a swap. We enjoyed good fellowship and had a comfortable night's rest. Will visit again. I wish them all the best with their building project."
